After the PL kindly decided to force City to play 2 games in 48 hours in December, away to Wolves on the 27th, and then home to Sheffield United on the 29th, obviously thinking of Liverpool and their hectic schedule in December, including the World Club Championship in the Middle East, Pep, Jokingly(?), has told his players to get into the fridge to recover. Oh! And Everton at home on the 1st of January.

yes the players are so different in the modern game and the training is harder, but we used to play 42 games and cups on pitches that was like a cow field for most of the season and a wet ball was like kicking and headiing a medicine ball, but the one thing that never happened was different kick off times ??? everybody played a 3pm or 7.30pm in the week tv was not controlling the game football was ?? every team should play at the same time on the same day even if tv control them

if we played leeds or chelsea at home we have had kick offs 11am 1115 etc in the 80s. Also before floodlights games kicked off earlier than 3pm, and some clubs had them, some not.

People forget the Christmas Day and Boxing Day double headers too.

Oooh, the double headers. Used to mean we got battered twice in two days!

yup, last year was nerve racking on the run in, the dippers played before us most of the games coming in and the pressure of coming from behind was with us the whole way, hated it.
