if City overtake Man Utd financially it makes sense to raise our wage cap and transfer spend.

What' is the point of having a competitive footballing advantage unless you use it? Man Utd deliberately drove wages and transfer fees up to a level where they had no competition.

The strategy of over-paying is logical - providing of course you identify the correct targets.

I saw your wink at the end, but to me that would always be costly and not just monetary terms but pure selfishness.
You only had to see that ridiculous decision by Jesus to shoot,instead of rolling a simple ball to KDB to really kill the game off.
