Then if you really believe that, why not support one now. At the very least we would be voting for something a little more material than 'just leave'. it would also give the 12m who didn't vote in the first referendum a chance to have their say. It is still the quickest and most able way to bring this to a conclusion. Johnson's betrayal deal against Remain.
So many contradictions in that post - and I am on my phone

But in short....

Let's honour the first one is the democratic approach and what I have always supported

Democracy - I know - can be so inconvenient

Common sense? What's that got to do with it?
I'm sick of the whole Brexit debate but I find myself strangely drawn to the dialogue in equal measure

If the folks on a football forum can digest the detail and make reasonable (mostly) judgements or comments for all sides of the debate then there is surely hope for the rest of the population

The difference is that you are taking an interest in brexit, most don't at all and aren't clued up on the situation

There aren't that many in this thread, just those that take an interest, maybe 50 or so out of how many users ? Same out in the real world.

Some are opposed to Brexit no matter what, I understand that. Some will vote for a deal they think is a compromise and good for the county, all they want is sufficient time to review the legislation

I don't know about the amendment to discuss it but I imagine that is a result of only having 3 days i.e once they start they must stop as per Government timetable. It is absurd that the Government as allowed only a few days for all this, given its importance and alleged benefits
In your first sentence - I suggest you are confusing the attitudes of balanced citizens that support Remain with the conniving and deceitful individuals at Westminster

So you are saying that Corbyn and Co. have a difficult decision to make... compromise their principles, they're fucked... oppose the deal, they're fucked
Pretty much.
The best hope for an outcome that is not a total fuck up would be for the deal to get voted down and for Corbyn to resign and be replaced by someone credible for the consequent GE. Even then it would be touch and go.

Many think Bercow has possibly strayed and as a minimum, bent conventions to favour one side of the debate in fact a committee is discussing just that today.

He isn't arsed, he is leaving and this his final swansong so will do what he can to make sure his own opinions on brexit are carried out.

Shame as i have enjoyed watching him as speaker but he record is forever tainted imo because the accusations of a loss of impartiality will always be there.
Those accusations will rightly dominate his legacy - because they are facts.

He should just quickly fade into the obscurity he deserves

Corbyn doesn't have it in him to stand down... He genuinely believes he is the best man for the job

The polls and a potential GE will confirm whether he's right

Yep, Johnson coming back with a deal has caught them well unawares, and their immediate decision to call it a 'Terrible'
deal are the acts of desperation, vote for it, Johnson calls a GE not long after, and they're royally fucked. I saw the latest
yougov giving the Tories 44% against labour's 23%, if repeated in an election, that would be goodnight Vienna for them.
They know this only too well, which is why we're hearing mealy mouthed claptrap about aligning with the single market
and customs union, a ludicrous stance, as that essentially means staying in. Jess Phillips parroting the no deal fear mantra
and starting off again negotiating customs unions and single markets, now sounds fucking stupid, really.
So they're going to, with help from the Letwin amendment, obstruct, block, and frustrate, their problem in doing this is an
infuriated electorate, which will be even more infuriated that they are also blocking a GE.
They can't do this forever, it's looking like the public is well on Boris's side here, sooner or later they'll have to face the music,
if this is after 31Oct, hoping that the PM will suffer ridicule will also be futile, as everyone knows their tactics and reasons.
Good summary

Should be so obvious to everybody

My prediction is that the conservatives will win comfortably, their influence is the media wins them half the battle most elections.
My prediction they will be the biggest party, whether they form the government more in the balance than ever since they've stabbed the only party they could form any coalition with in the back.
