Whilst in the break, I think Johnson might go for a short (2 week) extension. 19 Labour MPs defied the whip. That's roughly double what he needs to get his deal done. So he's home and dry if he just gives in to a couple more weeks of debate time. No-one will change their position one iota during that period - it's just a complete waste of time - but that may be all that's needed to get it over the line.
Think he just wants to squeeze in the Labour Party voting against more money for schools and the nhs, and 20,000 more police on the streets. Thank God that idiot May is out of the way and we have someone who knows what he’s doing at the helm.

Quite telling that they insist a no deal Brexit will never be of their doing. I can't see Boris getting the bill passed until it has been amended so much that it might as well be remain or has a 'peoples vote' attached to it to give the public a chance to do as they are told second time round.

I’m not sure a 2nd ref if is a good idea. Remain would win by a landslide but the Brexit Party would still have MEPs, Mogg and the rest will still be in HoC and the next Leave campaign would start immediately

Take it up with the BBC, that was the opinion of their leading political journalists and the one based in Brussels, in particular

We(the UK) are currently in the leaving process, if we need more time then we need more time. If they refuse to grant the extension then, I think it will look like they are kicking us out.

You don’t throw someone out of the house whilst they have asked for 10 more minutes to find their shoes
You still trust the BBC?

We already have asked for an extension.

You don't say to someone who's evicting you because you say you're leaving their flat due to rent costs, "look can I have 6 more months to get my shit together?", and then after the 6 months say, "yeah i'm gonna need more time, say another 6 months". That's an extra year they've given you.

He's been a breath of fresh hair.

They won’t.
Why not?

They already gave us one extension in that it was to be our last. "Don't waste this time..." remember? Or are the EU's 'threats' about extensions not worth their salt?

We were expected to leave on March 29th 2019.

Following PM @BorisJohnson’s decision to pause the process of ratification of the Withdrawal Agreement, and in order to avoid a no-deal #Brexit, I will recommend the EU27 accept the UK request for an extension. For this I will propose a written procedure.

No date specified yet.
As others have said, there is no way the EU can really let it go to a no deal crash out through their action.

^^ my thoughts exactly... once @Labour and Co. start to bitch and moan about the content it will be unrecognisable and then we’re heading down a very different path... GE needed for me now

thank God for the football to take minds of this utter shit-show
