Is it me but why can't Ditch just carry on trying to get his WAB through?
Major amendments are unlikely (customs union, second ref), so what's the problem?
"Ditch"? Dear oh dear. Fucking sad if you ask me that you should try to criticise someone for not delivering something, whilst at the same time supporting those who prevented him from delivering it. Staggeringly hypocritical, but I expected no better.

The problem I imagine is that whilst a majority for ANYTHING is so paper thin, he assessed there to be a significant change that we'd get to the end a say 1 month period of parliamentary debate only for **** Corbyn (I'm liking this new naming convention) to get it voted down. And then we'd be yet a further month on and still no progress. So better to grasp the nettle and deal with it now.

In short, no.

There might be. My pension fund surprisingly went up over 10% in the weeks following a vote to leave and never fully corrected itself. Once we've actually left - if it ever actually happens - it might go up again so you could be quids in. Just make sure none of it's invested in Woodford and you'll be laughing mate ;)

The difference is this forum is open to anyone and we can argue and debate whilst your twitter feed or facebook feed isn't in the main as you block anyone you dont like, hence it becomes an echo chamber.

I know we have the ignore function but its rarely used imo by anyone and rightly so.

#FBPE is as bad as any Leave means leave shite.
So you don't think Leave necessarily means Leave any more?

Standing in front of someone tends to make you less confident to be a cock too.

I’m sure if we’d have spent the last 3 years debating in person, rather on here, we’d have fallen out a fraction of the amount of times we actually have.

People are far more understanding and polite in person.

That's true. @gordondaviesmoustache is a right jumped-up twat on here, but I can confirm that having met him a few times in person he's a lovely bloke.

You never know, the same might be true of you!

Because he and the ERG know that we wouldn't be out before the implementation of the Eu Tax Avoidance Directive......
Ahhhhh, that must be it.

I knew there had to be a fat cat/tory scum/snouts in the trough etc etc etc motivation behind it. Because there is for everything the Tories do of course. Silly of us to have missed it.

@Len Rum : Do keep up.

You silly man.
Jezz doesn't have the votes to block it.
The WAB was passed at second reading by 30, don't you know.
If the amendments are not major or wrecking ( and there is evidence that the two biggies 2nd ref and CU don't have enough support) then there is every chance that with a bit of tweaking it could pass at third reading.

Intensely irritating though @Vic's constant "Liar Johnson" bleating is to all and sundry, I've decided I actually like it, since such attacks seem to be doing nothing but piss people off and boost Johnson's ratings even further. So carry on by all means Vic. I am sure you will anyway.

I think you are over estimating the percentage of the electorate that a) read the BlueMoon forum and b) this sub-section in particular

Try as they might, it's affecting his ratings not one jot. The left wing remain papers constantly parrot this incessant 'liar' line,
which blithely ignores a wealth of lies from Corbyn et al, and the fact that everyone knows it. These types of ad hominem
attacks are doing them no good at all, and the now looming prospect of not only Brexit, but Johnson being ensconced in
No.10 for another 5 years, smacks of desperation. If, as is looking likely, Corbyn, yet again, bottles a decision and refuses an election,
my bet is that his, and the Labour party's prospects will take another nose dive, he is now being seen for what he is, simply a
serial protester with no spine for fight.
He has to agree sometime though, and Johnson's tactics to get it done is to turn parliament into a Zombie state, and propose motions
until he does, by all accounts. To keep refusing on the now ludicrous platform of preventing no deal will invite a justified a storm of ridicule
and cowardice accusations, even more than he's getting now.
Let's see if the famous Jezza campaigning works this time, the kids don't seem to be as keen, even if we drop the voting age to 18 months,
the 'Oh Jeremy Corbyn' chants at Glasto were made by a group that had about as many members as Kylie's backing group.
I think Liar Johnson will win the next GE with a small majority, principally because of the weakness and unattractiveness of the opposition and we will get years more of his lies and god only knows what state we will be in when he is booted out.

I acknowledge his intelligence and his charisma (how else are people still following him) but, for me, he is the single most dangerous politician we have had in no 10, certainly in my lifetime. He tells his lies with such positivity and certainty and for some, likeability that even when he is caught out people forgive him and would prefer him to the alternative. Think back to the respective promises that he and Hunt made round Brexit during the leadership campaign; Johnson - 'I will deliver Brexit by 31/10 or die in a ditch' Hunt - 'I will do my very best to deliver Brexit by 31/10 but a short delay might be necessary'. One of those promises was a lie and it wasn't Hunts. He is normalising lies in the highest office in the country.

His tactics of telling people what they want to hear even when he knows its a lie and then blaming others when it doesn't happen is certainly working so why should he stop it? It will end in tears though. Ours rather than his. He has the media including the BBC as his propaganda machine and it will take a very effective opponent to stop him imo. Something, that I cant see on the horizon just now.

Yes absolutely. You still very rarely get either side being self critical though and when it does happen, it tends to be caveated with a dig at the same time.

It's not working because nobody in the wider public knows who 'Johnson' is. He's one of that small group of people who are so well known they are commonly referred to by their first names, and that becomes the way of referring to them. Extremely irritating to those who dislike him, which is why I refer to him as Boris whenever I can ;)

id rather die in a ditch, is whats known as a metaphor, a figure of speech, for rhetorical effect, nowadays referred to as lies, if you don't like the metaphor or the person who said it
