What sort challenge is spain? numbers don't mean everythingmost of them want a challenge

No I agree... My point is he’s at that elite level and he should be recognised for it but unfortunately he probably won’t as he plays for us and not Barca or Madrid and his numbers will never be quite as good in England as it’s more competitive.

People miss penalties, it happens, but to not get it on target is criminal. Gundogan has to be our taker from now on. Played really well but the same as usual, missed chances!
Familiar story of not taking chances and being wasteful, should be 4/5-0 by now. Excellent use of var, firstly to change the penalty to a free kick as it was outside the box and then to look at the missed handball spot it straight away and give the penalty. That’s exactly how var should be implemented.

I’m never confident with Jesus taking penalties, Aguero misses too many for my liking too but he’s nowhere near as bad as Jesus. Kdb should be our penalty taker he’s arguably the best striker of a ball in the world.

Anybody else notice how many times we slowed down attacks in dangerous positions by playing the ball behind the intended recipient instead of into the space in front of them? It’s infuriating.

Fully expect us to step up for 10 minutes and put this to bed second half, they are poor.
Kev missed a really poor one a few years back and Kun also missed one in same game. One of Peps biggest failings is not to sort out a good penalty taker. Minor fault

Sterling is always electric in Europe.. even in his first few seasons for us where he was up and down he was probably our best player in the CL. Obviously I don’t want to lose him but I think he would put up Messi numbers at one of European Giants.

He is already having Messi numbers at European giant.
