Var debate 2019/20

I dont think pitch side monitors will have the effect people want
Do you think oliver would have changed his mind if he chose to view it on the monitor?
I dont think our refs are going to undermine themselves. They are to full of themselves to admit a mistake

It is a lot harder if he sees multiple angles and doesn't change what is obvious.

Sticking to a wrong decision in the face of clear evidence would be the end of a ref.

Purslow was fairly clear in that he had told them it simply wasn't good enough so far and i dont think he will have been alone either.

They have already made changes, var is overuling the refs, have been for about 3 weeks, that is totally new,god he is full of bollocks that riley idiot

all i can say is thank god we have got 4 premier league titles and many cups under our belts because i don't see us winning many more with VAR in the game

we have had to win things the hard ever since the owners signed and took over, and not only have we had to beat a football team on the field we have had to beat the system and match officials, but now the officials have full control and are after our blood at every chance they get

from the laporte faintest of glances of his hand to TAA arm way out from his body stop and saving/stopping the ball going to sterling for a tap in, and they come out with the line unnatural position and not giving a stone wall pen to micro zooming in on laporte hand to make it look natural and movement to the ball, then you get the david silva no pen and clear stamp on his foot shown on VAR and still not given, then a liverpool player dives and falls over the foot and without doubt pen given and no questions asked ???

for me the only way we can beat this is to start to walk off the park and refuse to start after a dodgy review, we had the right to walk off in the liverpool game because they not only got it wrong but it was plain cheating by the officials ?? how can you defend that with the line from the VAR team saying unnatural position crazy, so every time they do it and we do nothing its excepting the system and they will keep doing it, WALK OFF and lets see what happens and if there is riots and fans running on the pitch its all there doing

"it would be reserved for unseen incidents, or when information from the VAR is outside the expectation range of the referee".

Can anyone explain this shit?

unseen incidents? You mean those that the umpteen fucking cameras and VAR can see?

expectation range of the referee? WTF?

Haha what bollocks,if that a different name for clear and obvious mistakes or is it just a jumble of words out of his tiny mind?
Use the fucking monitors, problems halved at least

@Moderating Team

come on guys, why has someone moved this to the general forum, that’s nonsense. It’s such a huge issue, especially in relation to City incidents that it belongs where it was in the main forum.

It’s not just a City specific issue though, so I think it makes more sense for it to be in the General
Football forum as a wider topic. VAR incidents specifically relating to City tend to be discussed in various other threads and we just end up with duplication, e.g. the Liverpool game:

You can always choose the “watch thread” option if you want to be notified when this thread is replied to, or use the ‘New Posts’ link.

So it’s been ok in the main forum for 7 months but now you’ve decided to move it? Lol.
