You seem to labouring under the strange misapprehension I am somehow endorsing Tory economic policies and their Brexit position - neither is the case. I am now convinced that the EU departure on offer is too damaging and that the ERG lobby has prevailed. I'll be voting in marginal Cheadle for the odious Lib Dems to stop Boris and give revoke a chance - desperate times and desperate measures. The reality is that it will be an empty gesture - the Labour Party's capture by Marxist throwbacks has rendered it unelectable and will mean we'll be out on terms no rational person would have anticipated or accepted.
George you are my hero.
I will 'like' every one of your posts from now on.*

* apart from the ones I don't like.

I’ve not been for 9 years.

My teeth are white and I have no pain anywhere. Brush twice a day with an electric brush for a lengthy time and I’m certainly not paying 40 fucking quid for nothing.

Good for you but without wanting to be patronising or make too may assumptions a lot of people's dental hygeine and eating habits won't be as healthy as yours and that inevtiably leads to trouble. Equally someone could have all the best habits in the world and still have problems. Me, I'm somewhere in the middle and looking forward to over £200 worht of root canal treatment later this week but in the lucky position of being able to afford it. For a lot of people £40 means a choice between the dentist and well I don't know, fill in your own answer here...

U got any suggestions for saving the planet Ancient?

Whether the UK spends £1 or £100 bn will make no difference. Let that sink in for a moment. Even if we eliminated ALL of our CO2 output - which is impossible in anything other than many decades - then 99%+ of man-made CO2 would continue as before.

UK carbon reduction efforts are a complete and utter waste of time, whether you believe that man is responsible for climate change or not.

Ah so is @kevin horlocks wand repeating someone elses lie or is it his own ?

Wouldn't it be great if there was a statutory 30 days in jail for every lie a politician or political party told and a further 30 days for every time the lie was repeated ?

That would soon put a stop to it and this country would be a far better place.

We know we are going to be lied to or that information will be presented in such a way as to disguise the facts. When I see something that doesn't sound quite right I make it my business to try and find out the truth- it is patently obvious that Corbyn wouldn't have said children couldn't go to the dentist because they can't afford it so why would anyone believe that and repeat it if only to confirm their own bias.

I was very frustrated watching bbc breakfast this morning when they were interviewing young people about their voting intentions and they were moaning about not being politically educated and that no-one was telling them what tyhe stood for. Why don't they use a bit of nus and find out instead of waiting to be spoonfed information, same with the market traders and shoppers of anytown who are inevitably interviewed for soundbites as a cross section of opinions, usually spouting half truths. The truth is out there if you can be arsed looking for it.

We can only do what we can do and hope other follow. Doing nothing because it doesn't make enough difference is beyond idiotic if everyone follows our lead in doing bugger all.

I think Corbyn will be better than Boris tonight

Christ I can’t believe I posted that but I think he will be if he stays calm and professional and does not get too excited

Boris simply does not prepare for these things

Yeah fair enough.

My point wasn’t to say people shouldn’t go to the dentist, just merely spouting the inner workings of my head in response.

Fly's by the seat of his pants, hopes that his buffoonish enthusiasm will endear him to the populous.

It won't work this time around, we need to hear competant responses from a statesman.

He's apparently been prepared by Bush's team I saw somewhere, but if Corbyn is clever he'll lay traps and Johnson will dive head first into them he can't help himself.

Doing nothing is not idiotic if you believe the whole thing is hyped out of all proportion, which IMO is definitely the case. And anyway, no-one is proposing doing nothing. There's a difference between doing your bit, or even showing a bit of leadership, and alternatively burdening your economy and making everyone poorer for absolutely no reason. Were such investments "free" than that would be one thing, but they are not. Just imagine how much the NHS could be if we nearly doubled its budget. Vs fucking about about with some stupid, unachievable and utterly futile carbon reduction targets. It's idiotic.

Except @kevin horlocks wand misrepresented what was said. Corbyn correctly said that 40% of children hadn't visited the dentist in the past year, NHS figures support that, but he didn't claim it was due to the cost, he referred to the cost for adults. There are many reasons children don't go to the dentist but mainly because they are reliant on adults to organise this for them.

I didn’t misrepresent anything . Google and read labours own press release today on this

tell me where it points out this is already free

show me where it says extending it to adults means kids will go with their parents

it doesn’t it’s focus is on this great plan to help those kids who re discouraged from going to the dentist and 40 % don’t go now because of the cost and labour want to end that

nowhere does it make the point that kids under 18 already get free healthcare

read it yourself it’s in their press release nit the express or mail.

as for the other argument , not in the press release btw , that the kids and grown ups can go together so it will help.

am sorry but as a parent if you can’t be arsed to take your kid for his 6 monthly FREE dental check up well those parents can fuck off the selfish gets

Wot?
U talking about the no ifs no buts regarding leaving the EU on 31st October, or the no ifs no buts about getting net immigration below 100k.
Anyway my little post was to simplify the WA outcome to it's most basic level so as to make it understandable to you.
Len,

As I am not seeking to persuade you of anything as I know that you are oblivious to the truth and facts of this matter there is no point in continuing this exchange. You seem to enjoy and have time for playing these silly games, but I have more interesting things to do and have no need to dumb down to the level you are operating at - I will leave you to it.

BK
Please please tell me you are only voting for JO SWINSON'S lib dems because you reside in a Tory / Lib Dem marginal.
Otherwise I will never ever like one of your posts again.
EVER.

I do. However for the sake of transparency I usually vote LibDem. Labour is not a factor although I did vote for ‘Red Ed’ in 2015. An election where we tragically blundered and are still paying the price for.

well Boris has already fucked up as he has sent him the key questions he wants answering in advance

nothing like the element of surprise eh

doh !!!
Has he? Bloody nora that was stupid.

FWIW I think Boris will do rather badly tonight and also FWIW, I think it will make very little difference. I think the polling gap will narrow slightly come what may, and the Tories will go into the GE with a 4 or 5 point lead and end up with a majority of 20 or 30.
