strong line up is needed and get the job done early and then control the game from there. also is there any so called weak or weaker players in the squad anyway and even the youth are strong enough and good enough to start so like tommy doyle and phil foden could come in and fit right in

pep and city need this group sorting out tonight and a win is a must and even a draw would be good enough, so lets get the job done tonight and use the last game for a good training session with the youth and bravo and rest the first team because its down to the bare bones at the minute and big and many games coming in December

Disappointed to once again see Garcia not play a part in important games. I’m truly curious about Peps reasoning for why he is not ready. Playing Stones and Ferna is not the brightest idea. They need all the rest they can get for the league as they’re the most stable partnership we have at the moment.

Otamendi shouldn’t even touch a ball again considering the way he played in the league a few games ago.

We can beat Shaktar with our second best team, but Newcastle away? For that game everyone needs to be fit.

I’m worried Pep might do a bad selection once again. It’s not very common but it happens. I just hope everyone can stay fit.

Lot of expectations for Phil to play tonight. I hope I’m wrong but inhave a suspicion there will be a lot disappointed people when the team sheet is revealed. Rodri probably needs the game and Gundogan didn’t play weekend so I expect those two to play and then the third is a choice between kdb silva Bernardo and Foden. Bernardo didn’t play weekend so I expect him to play but mahrez surely gets another game after his goal so Bernardo in the middle?

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO extra loud, now is our chance

UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin is guest of honour at Manchester City’s game against Shakhtar Donetsk tonight. Ceferin’s visit is a sign that City will avoid the type of the sanction that would lead to years of legal wrangling. [@TheAthleticUK]

Have strong feeling this will be the team:

Ederson

Walker-Stones-Otamendi-Angelino

KDB-Gundogan-Foden

Bernardo-Jesus-Sterling
