Boris on LBC right now. it's beyond painful. doesn't answer any of the callers questions, waffles for ages, 'i can't get into the exact details', attack Corbyn/McDonnell and repeating 'we will get Brexit done' over and over

U read nearly every newspaper in your iunch to get a balanced view?
Who reads newspapers now?
Nearly every one?
At your age?
To get a balance?
Do me a favour.
This issue is all about Corbyn's support for the two state settlement to the Israel Paestine conflict and nothing to do with anti semitism.
Wake up and smell it.

Another occasion of my age being brought up as a negative, that’s 3 this month from people incapable of arguing strongly enough, and so decide to play the man rather than ball.

I know this may be my age again but we have this thing called the internet. It’s a magic portal where within 3 clicks you can be on the home page of any newspaper in the country. Within my hours lunch I am able to spend 5-10 minutes on the Guardian, spend 5-10 minutes on the Telegraph, spend 5-10 minutes on the Independent, spend 5-10 minutes on the Daily Mail... you get the picture.

I know you probably think this is sorcery grandad but it’s really quite easy.

Pretty much everyone in the western world wants a two state solution. I’ve never spoken to a single person, including my Jewish ex manager, who still sits behind me at work, who has Israeli parents and thinks Netanyahu is a ****.

This has everything to do with Corbyn’s supporters taking that particular conflict, which is one of many around the world, as their main point in life and turning their obsession with opposition to the Israeli state’s expansionism; into a hatred of Jews, blaming them for it.

When you throw in the lefts obsession with banking conspiracies then you’ve arrived at your destination, which looks very much like a beer hall in 1930’s Germany.

Standard of our politicians has surely never been as low.

U mean u read the headlines and maybe a bit more depending on coverage and paywalls.
The ludicrous situation is that you seem to think the press is balanced.

It's a total obsession with them, any other world events don't get much of a look in, your assessment of it turning
into hatred looks pretty accurate.

I'm slightly out, a quick Google reveals 280-290,000.
Jewish folk are not a particularly large demographic here.

It wouldn't matter if it was just 280 - 290 - nobody should feel threatened which is why Corbyn keeps saying he has spent his life confronting racism. The upshot is in an ideal world nobody should feel that way.

It’s obviously a quick look but spending up to 10 mins on any site gives you enough time to figure out what the narrative is and what angle they’re getting at.

The Independent is very much anti-Tory and Brexit and the Telegraph is pro-Tory and Brexit. To have a quick look you get to see both points of view and attacks.

My entire point is that the press isn’t balanced, it’s very partisan but if you read from both a left and right view, you can normally determine a balanced view for yourself.

How you’re not getting my point is ridiculous.

Unfortunately Len, you’re an extremist so only the Morning Star is a legitimate paper for you.

this was brilliant.

few days ago... Asked if he had ever eaten at Greggs Boris said: "What? You mean like a pasty or a sausage roll? Have I ever not had a Greggs?! I am made of Greggs. ''

Nick Ferrari - ''tell me Prime Minister, how much is a Greggs Sausage Roll ? '' ..... BJ ''..I er erm no, not sure ''

..''a pound prime minister''

Correct, they shouldn't, yet precisely because of Corbyn, many are fleeing if he gets power. Corbyn's method of dealing
with any serious issues, be it this one, or terrorist incidents, is the same mealy mouthed, all encompassing, ''I condemn all....,''

You get the picture.
I've not heard any muslims claim they'll be doing the same if Johnson gets in.
Consider that.

I wouldn’t be able to tell you that either.

Is this newsworthy?

Does Corbyn know? If so I may vote for him then.

Maybe they just prefer some liars to others or the liars they like to the ones they don't or the ones they know to the ones they don't. Maybe some are so gullible they think only one side is lying or that only the rich perpetuate nonsense or that Labour never tries to bypass subjects they don't like with fabricated distractions. Maybe most people don't like being lied to at all but still choose to vote for the lesser evil.
Like O'Brien didn't say - what if this turns out to be a downright calumny by Corbyn? Would you change your mind about him? Somehow I don't think you would no matter what he's done. Blind hatred poisons everything including the capacity for critical thinking.

What I HATE is the open bare faced lying to our faces.

There's nothing "blind" about it.

Thatcher did it, Blair did it, Cameron did and now Johnson.

There's an A-Z pathway there.

what the fuck has that got to do with anything. Our Pm needs to know how much a sausage roll is at greggs . Who knows or cares. I absolutely have no idea.
