Very frustrating to watch, we seem to be playing out of a book and not on instinct or skill, we are taking ages to build up to a cross or shot giving them chance to get position or block. We need to take them on and go round, we either go past them and shoot/cross or get fouled for a free kick or lose out, but the passin* at half pace isn’t really working is it, the games crying out for Bernardo and Foden.

You have hit the nail on the head. That's the biggest problem were having since he's moved into centre back. Fernandinho reading of the game in midfield, Fantastic at cynical fouls stopping counter attacks, But was also the one starting attacks along with his press.

Newcastle away is not the place to try this for the first time but its very hard for me to believe that Eric Garcia wouldn’t improve us. Our defending is abysmal.

Our defending has been fine for all but two attacking moves from them.

Those two moves were poor by us but overall we’ve done fine at the back.
