Prepare to be disappointed mate. I think Rodri is nailed on based on Peps comments and of all the teams in the PL I don’t expect Phil to start it would be Burnley. Gundo is out. Front five pick themselves other than Bernie/Mahrez.With all due respect, I’ll be disappointed if that’s the midfield Pep opts for.
I'd expect Pep to field Gundogan ahead of Foden, even knowing that he's ineligible!Expecting Pep to make some changes.
Foden should start and inject some much needed energy into our team.
This isnt the game for foden he will have the shit kicked out of him we need players who are use to what they do there rodri os a must just for his height.
We can use Rodri, but Foden should still play. His energy in midfield is required. We are getting overrun with Silva and Gundogan. Gundogan misses this one but Foden would still be worth playing. We can better dictate the game that way. For all of their physical strengths as a team, our record against them is very good despite being quite clearly a less physical side. We need to worry about our own performance rather than theirs. Foden in ahead of Silva makes little difference in terms of height!
I don't think we've been getting overrun. We completely dominated Saturday's game and as usual the reason we didn't win was because our glorious forward line missed it's usual hat full of chances !
I think you can have unlimited devices on Prime but only 2 live streams at any one time.Total 5 at a time can access Amazon Prime A/c
We certainly missed chances, but Newcastle were able to dribble through our midfield and at our defence pretty easily. It was a scampering defence which Fernandinho basically carried. My point with Foden is largely centred on the fact I think the league has gone and want to get him ready to replace Silva. We should be preparing and looking to prioritise the CL. We can still win the league but we don't look capable of winning every game. Laporte has been a huge loss.
Not to mention that we were winning more games and seemed more dynamic with Zinch in the team rather than Mendy. Just seems like a better technical footballer at the momentStill not losing faith on the title but at the same time not as big a disappointment than previous seasons if we lose out on the league. More games to come but it’s obvious other teams are aware that we are at our most vulnerable state after several years of running circles around teams. I would like to see Foden and Angelino play more to prime them for next season. And also Zinchenko. I rate him more than Mendy his smaller stature can be deceiving he is just as good with crosses as Mendy and is also a more complete footballer around the box. Just dont let him mark a pacey winger then Zinchenko would be fine at LB.
If we can get the job done in the league - a mighty ask with an 11 point gap and the leading team getting the rub of the green on VAR, no main injuries, and dives for fouls and the powers that be wills them it - it will be another memorable season for us should we win it. But our depleted squad and less than stellar passing game proves otherwise and if anything it justifies focusing more on the monkey on our back the chumps league. Sane is a big loss and took out several chapters off of our penetrative tactical game. We should be at least 6 points better of than now with Sane.
Harder to break down teams now because we are more predictable and do like-for-like subs rather than flipping the game onto a new tangent altogether. Entertaining and impeccable football is a start.
Totally agree with thisis that not more down to the way we play though ?As we've always said we are an attack minded team that often leaves our defence exposed and the price we pay as a result. We could always revert to playing like Leicester soaking it up and trying to hit teams in the break God forbid !! It's our lack of cutting edge that us costing us more than anythjng else.
Yep. 2-1 up, saw the boys in blue celebrating, and I said to myself: but can you defend it. The answer was no. If my confidence isn’t there; they must be feeling it too.Tempted to put the mortgage on Burnley having 2 attempts on goal both of which will hit the back of our net. We'll have 583 attempts on goal and score 1. Hate to say it, but I can only see more dropped points on Tuesday.
