Well done by all. Let's not rest on this, come home and spank United. Rodri MOTM for me, hope to see him in the same spot on Saturday.
Maybe he needed a run in the side to get his confidence back, I've been critical of him saying he won't get us the goals required, but he sure looked class tonight. Hope that gives him a boost for future matches now.Not celebrated a goal like Jesus's first in a while. Been a joke the past few weeks how loads of blues have piled in on him; he's shite, he can't wipe Aguero's arse, he doesn't suit wearing shorts, he's this, he's that.
He's twenty fucking two years old and those were his 51st and 52nd goals for us tonight. Get in there Gabby lad.
Great performances from Angelino, Fern and Ota were spraying passes beautifully and Walker was good too. Rodri, great.
Whatever happens in the league, we need to keep blooding these young players like Angelino, Foden, Jesus and Rodri as they are the future and fingers crossed we will hit our peak in February when Laporte returns and fingers crossed we might get fortunate and win a domestic cup double (or even more!)
Come on the blues.
The question is would we prefer an aggressive and rash CB that can bite into a tackle or a Stones who allows attackers to turn and face? The prospect or Martial, Rashford and James against Stones terrifies the life out me haha.the only change i would make is stones for Otto - not becuase of Otto's performance tonight but because Stones has that bit more pace in him - utd will play into the sapces behind our defence and Otto runs with concrete boots on...hence why i would kepp walker and Angelino at fullbacks as well as they are quicker than their counterparts as well
Pep being askd about dinho again,he said we know better than you
Add to this the drop in intensity with a 4-0 lead.Their goal was a bit unfortunate, don't think you can blame defensive frailties.
Pep got that completely wrong, he thought something was being insinuated in the question but it was really quite an innocent question and was one of praise for Rodri. But Pep went defensive as he misunderstood what he was getting at.Pep being askd about dinho again,he said we know better than you
One of our better performances this season.
Jesus, Bernardo, De Bruyne, Silva and Rodri all played very well.
With the possible exception(s) of Walker and Sterling, I don’t think any of our players performed at less than 7/10.
Rodri’s all-round performance was very encouraging and the goal he scored would have made De Bruyne proud. Brilliant strike.
