Yeah but then you could say some traditional labour voters are Brexiteers and voting Tory above only to leave the EU and so on and so forth.

also given the fact that Libs always have around 10% on here from previous polls, you can’t suddenly pretend they are all ex Tories.

Fair enough. For what its worth, I don't think forum is particularly right-wing - it seems pretty balanced

The crux was about the sheer naivety of thinking a vote for Labour is a vote to end all of the countries ills and problems.

It wont and i explained that.

For daring to post that you then go off on your right winger rant and it was that i then responded to.

You do realise that it is possible to criticise Labour and not be right wing yes?
What do people think would happen if Labour scrape in with the help of the SNP/Lib Dems? Corbyn will negotiate a pointless Brexit deal that every high profile Leave supporter will hate and nobody will campaign for. Remain will win the referendum but with a vastly inferior turnout, and Leavers will be enraged. This fixes the country? Not a cat in hells chance. The SNP get their referendum as the price of their support and the whole shitstorm starts all over again.

At least he left out Nazi, racist and thick Northeners.........

Exactly, it always happens under socialism, it's an envy based philosophy that simply serves to reduce everyone to penury.
Except, as you say, a certain few, maybe Jezza should tell the truth for once and change his slogan to 'Poverty for the many,
including the few.'

No. It is based on the premise of production and wealth being more equally shared by the community as a whole and not just in the hands of a small group thereby benefiting the community as a whole.

We have socialised Health, Education, protection via the forces and police and transport infrastructure ie roads and railway network. The question isn’t socialism ‘yes or no’ but how much socialism. In the US socialist Health care is the prelude to the end of civilisation. Here it just means being able to receive medical treatment.

It is remarkable how the level of debate on issues like ‘socialism’ have failed to advance beyond ‘Socialism bad’ and ‘politics of envy’.

So given the fact that the poll at the top very much shows that this forum is far more "lefty" than the general population (especially given the current polling info out there), is it safe to put to bed the idea that Bluemoon is 'right-wing'?

Actually, like Brexit, if the whole forum voted, we'd get the true reflection.

How many members do we have and how many have voted? Thousands compared to hundreds?

Not enough to get a true extrapolation of what the nation is feeling either way.

Socialism, as advocated by many on here, is a philosophy that advocates state control of production, distribution
and exchange. Venezuela, Zimbabwe, and dozens of other countries have adopted this policy, each and every one has
resulted in social catastrophe, starvation, and populations fleeing, you state European countries as an example.
There are no Western European countries that have implemented socialism.
Because, it does not work, it causes misery, so why do you want it?

Change that to democratic socialism and your response might just change.

Also there a plenty on here, myself included, who have clicked my personal choice but do not contribute much if at all to these threads, so although the forum might have more voters of a particular party not all of us have the energy or time to post on this thread 100 times a day.

Slacker

Seems comprehension is now a victim of the election.

It clearly says ‘suspected’. How about we just read the article and then post? Just a thought.

hey hey calm down don’t get all scouse on me, or I will allege you are a violent offender and I have my suspicions that you are and you know you might get locked up.

ffs people suspected without being convicted should be locked up do you know how utterly stupid that is

Yes, I wonder and again have no idea , what is happening in their old strongholds like the South West. I don't know what the brexit vote was in that area either, but if they can win back a few seats there and assuming the SNP take back some in Scotland and Labour maybe some in London the question then is there enough support for the tories to gain enough seats in the rest of England to win a majority. I guess we'll soon find out.
They lost ⅓ of their vote in the South West by telling Brexiteers they were thick. St Ives & the Silly Isles is about their best chance of a seat in the South West.

Nah not having that at all. If people post on here (which they obviously do for others to say the forum is right wing) then they’ll certainly click on the poll above.

What the poll above shows is that this forum is most definitely not right wing and almost certainly to the left of the general uk population.

We arguing for suspected criminals to be locked up now?

Fuck me Corbyn wants bombers and killers released so doubt you will get him locking suspected criminals up.

You are going to be outraged when you discover this Tory Govt has people on remand in custody awaiting trial. To the streets and decry this injustice!

You wont find me outraged about a criminal justice system that barely changed regardless of who is or isn't in power Bob.

I will however request whoever forms the next government to lock up convicted terrorists and ensure they do their full sentences, preferably life without parole.
