Of course you can.

When people call this forum right wing, that’s based off reading posts from forum members in off topic.

There are only a few hundred people that post in political threads, not tens of thousands. So of course the poll on here represents the make up of posters on the political threads.

Why would you need to see thousands of votes? There aren’t thousands of political posters.

This poll, like every other on Bluemoon in the past, shows a majority of people are on the left of the political spectrum. And to the left, albeit slightly, of the general population. And that the forum is certainly not some right wing fiefdom.

ps, imagine a thread with 57/58 more people siding with one opinion or view than the other. That’s six pages of posts entirely supporting one side.

So, like in the Brexit Ref, if there's 18m non voters, how do you extrapolate for whom might fall on what side if voted? And then you'd have to work out of those remaining what demographic/ age would be voting that impacts how their generation feels on Europe?

Same thing for the forum.

But, I'm just being inquisitive.

I will however request whoever forms the next government to lock up convicted terrorists and ensure they do their full sentences, preferably life without parole.
Well guess what mate the current government who have done nothing about it for the last ten years but who now want your vote on Dec 12 are promising to do just that.
Some gullible people fall for it.

Because the non posters don’t matter when looking at the forum and deciding if it’s a right wing cesspit (or not).

If people are not posting politically then they’re not part of the forum political zeitgeist are they?

That’s my point.

True and neither will it lock up suspects not found guilty of anything which was kind of my point.

We do detain suspects on remand. They can be remanded in custody or under supervision or on bail. The seriousness and nature of the offence are all factors. If someone is arrested on suspicion of a bomb plot on a Govt target you think we are letting them out unsupervised prior to trial?

‘Off you go Mr Murphy. We’ll see you in five weeks for your trial, but for now we are confiscating the fuse wire, timer and plans for the Cabinet Office. Have a good Christmas’

Ok I laughed...

Boris Johnson just got through whole press conference without mentioning the words Donald and Trump. He genuinely has never heard of the US president’ @JohnJCrace

I think it is largely a left-leaning forum. Certainly most polls on here suggest that anyway. Those on the right tend to dominate the political threads though, which distorts things a bit imo.

There are no Western European countries that have implemented socialism.
QUOTE]

Denmark Higher tax and universal income
Spain Left wing government
Portugal left wing socialist government https://www.newstatesman.com/world/...success-story-strange-rebirth-portuguese-left
France Spending far more on social costs than we do over the next parliament
Germany Public owned trains, electricity, gas, ...
UK (the NHS being a prime example of a successful socialist policy in practise)

The truth of the matter is that Labour are not making this country any more socialist than any other country in the EU. Unless you read the right wing rabid press then we are going back to the 70's which is total bullshit. I have read an article on this (sorry can't find a link) that this move is hardly even radical its a movement not a shift and no more than any other modern country in the western world is already.

Also there a plenty on here, myself included, who have clicked my personal choice but do not contribute much if at all to these threads, so although the forum might have more voters of a particular party not all of us have the energy or time to post on this thread 100 times a day.

Genuinely don't know how some people can literally spend all day arguing on the internet. That will never ever make sense to me.

Get out a bit more, lads.

Then there’s me being denigrated as a lefty on some threads and a paid up RWNJ on others. Which is good as it means there’s always someone to argue with.
