To be fair I don't think anyone would be a satisfactory replacement for Agüero in Karen's eyes.

He was fantastic last night, unsurprisingly, just gutted that flick from Angeliño's volley didn't count.
Because there is only one sergio, there is sergio then there is different

Coming along really well imo.

Got it in him to be one of the best in the game.

Needs to get his nut round staying onside though.

There's nothing he can do about either offside yesterday.

The first one is because he makes a run, the pass is blocked and then Silva tries passing again straight away before GJ can get back.

And the corner, he's the player disrupting the keeper at the corner so he's always going to be offside when KDB hits it straight from the corner.

Strikers who play along the line and are constantly making the run in behind are going to get flagged offside. Vardy is offside 2x more often and no one ever complains. Get your head around it because it's not going to go away.

It's become one of those things where the supporters immediately groan regardless of whether it's his fault or not.

Also, why are we bringing up offsides in a striker like they matter? 1 or 2 a game for a striker that plays off the shoulder? So? We've seen how quickly a player can become offside thanks to VAR (a frame within a second changes everything), so if anything a guy who plays on the shoulder is inevitably going to get offside.

But why bring it up? Did we bring up the fact that Kompany used to give away 1 or 2 needless fouls a game? No, because that's just the risk of his style and we looked past it.
Did we bring up that De Bruyne constantly wastes possession attempting final balls and shots? No, because he gets it right enough times to not care.
Did we bring up that Sané was often offside? No, because you don't care when you know how devastating he is when he is onside.

I'd argue that if you include offsides, Jesus contributes to fewer attacking moves breaking down than most of the rest of the team.

People who criticise Jesus for being offside occasionally are just as desperate as people who criticise City for tactical fouling.
