I always sang the Mancini & Mr Pellegrini songs though.

Everyone has different views of different managers. I couldn’t take to Pellegrini but loved Mancini and love Pep. It would be boring if we all thought the same though wouldn’t it. Pep has been a bit flat himself on the touch line at times though this season so not sure he can complain too much about the crowd.

In the family stand and thought the atmosphere was really good.
 
It was a strange atmosphere, had large spells of silence but when it got going it was some of the loudest singing all season. Thought the Leicester fans were really poor to say they sold their section out.
 
Was in 107 yesterday and thought the atmosphere was good also you could hear the south stand but only ever looks like the 2 blocks were singing not the whole 4 getting involved.

Tend to agree. Pep spends far too much time telling us what a small club we are, how we've not won much, and how the opposition manager is amazing, to 'get' us.

just to reiterate as well, peps comment was not right, maybe with him being near the tunnel it feels flat but does he seriously expect the corporates around him to sing. He is welcome to come into 115 anytime :). I will also tell him how to build a good player - fan bond, has he forgotten what his team did at the end of games at Bayern.

I'd argue the opposite the atmosphere has been shit for a while.

The weight of expectation from our fan base coupled with people being priced out of attending games, or moving for cheaper seats has taken its toll.

And before you ask I sit in 111 and have for nearly 15 years.

im in east stand level 1 and i thought it was pretty good. one of few times this season where I've heard the south stand in full voice. the issue is the colin bell and family stand. i dont even know if people are alive in there.

I'm family stand level 2 and the atmosphere yesterday was pretty good. Plenty of singing - in response to singing from other parts of the ground bit that's to be expected.

True mate but the Mail probably won’t report on Pep praising our fans for getting behind the team yesterday. It was great to hear some of the songs going around the ground in the 2nd half.

I reckon Pep was disappointed with the lack of support during the Derby. It had been a poor effort, even though the rags controlled much of the game.

Atmosphere during the derby was poor, ss level 1
 
In pursuit of the £ the club has to take a large share of the responsibility for the on-going erosion of the atmosphere inside the Etihad.

And I don’t mean the match day experience. That’s something different all together.

New executive, corporate and match day event seating areas have sprung up all over the stadium. 100’s, if not 1000’s of City fans have been affected. All 4 stands have been affected.

Areas that were once full of ordinary City fans who would get behind the team and create an atmosphere are now full of......(fill in as appropriate)

Yes, I know. It’s Soriano’s Job to drive revenue upwards, and one of the ways to do that is to create such areas inside the Etihad.

That’s where the revenue is. It’s not on a couple of pints of £4 Heineken.

Pep probably never gave it a second thought. After he flung his arms in the air, and pleaded with the fans to get behind the team against Leicester, when he turned around, did he look at the Tunnel Club behind and think......’I’m wasting my time’.

Agree with Mancini but Pellegrini, surely not? He won the league with Mancini's team when Yaya was on fire but one more season and he would have turned us into Arsenal faster than Wenger turned Arsenal into Arsenal. Total fraud in my eyes. That total surrender at Chelsea in the cup was totally unacceptable,
 
To be honest, I’ve got a lot of time for all 3 - Mancini, Pellegrini, and Guardiola - but all of them have a limited shelf life.

For me, Pep is the best manager on the planet and we should enjoy him while he’s here because sooner or later he’ll be gone. However, he really doesn’t do himself - or us - any favours with these comments about the atmosphere. To be fair, the full transcript of what he said does praise the fans for getting behind the team but throwing his hands up in the air when he’s pretty much in front of the Tunnel Club - the most expensive corporate area in the ground - which his mate Soriano no doubt had a lot of input in is a bit rich. Asking City fans to turn up in numbers at CL games when we’ve never had a gate for a CL group game anywhere near as low as the 22,000 who turned up at the Nou Camp for Barca v Shakhtar in Pep’s all-conquering first season as manager of Barca is another one that I find irritating.

Let’s be honest - we’ve got big issues with the atmosphere at our place at times, and I’ve done enough moaning about it myself, but we’re hardly alone in that. Much of it is down to the increased sanitisation of the English game, and while something needs to be done, it should be up to the fans to deal with it, and the manager shouldn’t be getting involved. United and Liverpool fans have no room to take the piss either because Mourinho and Klopp have had digs at the fans at both those clubs too. IMO all three should keep their beaks out and if they want great atmospheres, go and manage in Eastern Europe or Greece or Turkey, but we know that would never happen because none of the clubs in those countries could afford to pay the kind of salary that all 3 would demand.

I think we were fucked over by the TV shysters and the FArce, if I' not mistaken, who refused to move the tie to accommodate a CL game in the next week. Would have been moved for Dippers and Rags, no doubt!
