Manchester City: Champions speak to Premier League about festive kick-off times

Manchester City have spoken to the Premier League about their Christmas fixture programme after being asked to play twice in less than 48 hours. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50885793

It’s a poor schedule but at least Stockport Phil should get more game time. I think Pep will need to mix the team up a fair bit. I know out options are limited in central defence but we have good options elsewhere on the pitch.

Think as a club we need to stop moaning. Christmas always has been and always will be a busy time game wise not like its totally unexpected.
There's 4 teams with a worse turnaround than us and ten with a turnaround time of no more than 48 hours so hardly like we are being singled out.
It is what it is let's just get on with it

What team has more time between games?

The article will be bullshit. The club want the money more than anything, like all the clubs do, so won't say a peep. This is just a story to make fans feel their club is hard done by.

We are the only club who have a squad which is capable of putting out 2 strong teams
We could actually play 2 games at the same time and still be confident of beating most.

Xmas is far harder on the likes of Burnley and Sheffield.

Lap it up.

Why isn't Amazon showing all games on Boxing Day, why are we the only game not being played on that day. Haven't seen any explanation anywhere. Does anyone think it a coincidence that the team we play second has the longest gap in between games whereas the team Liverpool plays has the shortest
