I freely admit to nicking this idea off twitter (so full credit goes to the guys at @City_Chief). I thought it might make for an interesting discussion. The poll will close on friday evening.

For me, I'd go for Dave, if for no other reason than the length he's been doing it (the whole decade, I think).

That's a proper thought provoking question, could easily make a case for all of them.
I voted silva too after much thought.
He just controlled games for such a long period of time.
Earlier on his career with us, to witness him playing as a winger, yet completely dictate a game was amazing to watch.

4 fantastic servants.

Yaya first struck off for me, due to off the field stuff, unfortunately.

Ferna next to go simply because the other 2 are better...

Kev and Dave both world class on their day, Dave shades it for me because he's been here for the entire decade.

Better at what though ;-)

Its a nearly impossible one to choose, there is something to make a case for all of them, Fernandhino has been the glue for the teams best years (except 2012). David has been a loyal genius, with so much skill, KdB is such a brilliant footballer, outstanding, and Yaya gave us some incredible individual moments at iconic times.

Its a choice I don't feel the need to make, all 4 deserve to share it.

Over the ten years, Silva is the only answer. The first five years maybe Yaya. The next ten years KDB. Had Fern signed four years earlier he would have been in with a shout.

In terms of influence, I’d say Yaya. But Silva and De Bruyne are probably in the best five players we have had.

Got to be Silva. Week in week out for years he’d set the tone and shape the entire way we play. The most telling periods were those in which he was injured. We could play well and win individual games without him but any sustained absence would usually result in a decline in our performances and results.

Always brave on the ball, always wants the ball, always trying to make a difference and fully committed whether it was Barnsley in the cup or Real Madrid in the champions league.

Silva because he epitomises some of the reasons I/we watch and love the game of football. The volley pass into the path of Dzeko in the rout of Old Trafford comes to mind.

Went for Yaya. I just feel like he was the signing that made everyone take City seriously. He elevated the club. Shame how it panned out for him in the end, but I can’t deny his influence.

No question it's got to be David, although I think Kev will turn out to be the best midfielder we've ever had.
