Everton (H) Post-Match Thread

Fair result in the end but we need to stop these moments of clown defending as we gift too many goals. Jesus mom for me and I think that was a pen on Phil as his shooting foot was tripped, that wnker mcmanmmmanmm said it was ok though as the defender got his foot in front of Phils........ the definition of a trip!!!!!! Anyway that will do to start the new year and hope its a great one for all on here.

Played well overall and could have scored a hatful with better decision making and finishing.
Gifted our usual goal but never seemed to be under too much pressure.
Hopefully the soft ****s in the prematch thread who were calling Pep out have the good grace to admit they know nothing.
Pleased for Mendy. García a class act, Fernandinho his usual brilliant self and Gabby doing what he does.
Good day at the office.

Good performance, job done but we should really kill off games so minor errors like their goal don't make it a nervy end

Garcia MotM for me today was excelent

Andrew mariner is the biggest refereeing **** of the lot

6 points out of 9 from this horrendous fixture list - Friday, Sunday and Wednesday, and very unlucky not to get the win at Wolves.

Good win today and move onto Port Vale where a few should be given the day off before facing the rags. Hopefully De Bruyne, Fern, Rodri and possibly one or two others won't be involved, Sterling also despite only playing a couple of minutes this evening.

Should have been 3-0 at the least but job done. Garcia and Phil did well against a rejuvenated Everton and an iffy ref.

A lot more solid set up by Pep -you could almost (nearly) call it a bit defensive but it certainly worked and was very comfortable until Bravo decided to give Everton a helping hand.

Having Ferna garcia and Rodri as a back 3 meant that neither Cancello or Mendy had too much defending to do which was great int hat it freed Mendy to do what he is better at (and Cancello to a lesser extent though he nearly had an assist with the disallowed goal)

Gundogan also looked more comfortable with this set up.

Mahrez looks a better midfielder than winger

GJ - should have had 4 but two well taken goals

It would be interesting to see that formation/set up with a couple of changes of personnel

a good 3 pts and a tricky fixture done.....Everton were bloody average until we gave them a ilft back into the game and even then they were stil awful

Think Calvert-Lewin shouls/could easily have been sent off for that challenge on Ferna at the end

Was fine until Bravo did a Bravo

Still fuming at the shit bag ref not giving that prick a ref card for the dreadful tackle on Fern

Bravo trying to be Ederson. And failing miserably. Otherwise a really good performance That looked like the City that I know. Our second is a thing of beauty. Special mention for Ben Mendy. A fine game, mostly, from him. Several really good crosses in. Onwards...

Garcia is one promising player! would love to see him play more. Jesus was excellent today, great movement and reading of the game. Deserved his third goal. Foden will be a big player for us. Positives from me. Happy new year all

Everton’s just a shite team. Full of divers, soft ****s and cloggers like Calvert-Lewin. Ref was corrupt as usual. Garcia, Foden, Dinho,Jesus and both wing backs were superb

It’s was like chess in first half but lit up on second. Everyone played their part except bravo fuck up . Rodri should’ve done better on their goal . Gabby’s took both goals really well. Ferny was mint . Mahrez had a great game too . Come on city

Don’t think I’ll ever watch a game again on the edge of my seat. The spectre of VAR is omnipresent and looms over everything.
