That goal-scoring performance from Jesus was immense. Everton came to keep a clean sheet and City rested a lot of players after a busy schedule. Jesus stepped up and produced some real magic. You have to give the man a lot of credit.

You can't give MoM to any defender today because Everton only really had a go late-on.

The defensive display wasn’t too bad, their goal was gifted by a stupid cocky Bravo, who should know better but continues to piss about with it.
We have to stop backing away in to the box or teams are just going to go down as they know they’ll get a penalty. There was some great movement in MF and energy by Foden was great to see, allowing Rodri to sweep up. A much better performance than of late. Hope we can now just get some solid wins together and build the confidence for each other. We are still in 3 trophies!!!!!
Mendy should be happy with his game, at least he didn't have to defend too much and showed he’s not quite finished yet.

If Jesus hadn't been so good then any of the back 3 could have had it. Fernandinho was rock solid and Garcia and Rodri both looked assured on the ball. Cancelo also did very well.

He was very creditable, wasn't he? Not quite MOTM, in my view, but good to see someone defending him. Some on here are writing him off already, and we've barely even seen him play! What is it about City fans that we feel the need to do that?
I surmise that both Rodri and Cancelo will be big players for us, but as of next season. They need a season to bed in.
(Gabi my man of the match, by the way. Not very controversial...)
