The hammered us a month ago, and that was with Ederson making 3 or 4 big saves. Next week, it's Bravo in goal, and a repeat of that performance is 5-1 not 2-1.

Tbf they scored because we were lapse in their half and after giving them the ball fell asleep. Not because we stopped attacking. Which we did, granted.

They scored because we played a loose backwards pass in the middle of the park while committed forward. And by “we” I mean KDB.

By the time of their goal, we had about 5-6 players looking dead on their feet, and their subs were designed to put at least 1 more on the board. Thankfully, it didn’t happen, because a 2-3 result would have been unthinkable, esp given the domination and coasting in the 2nd half.

Lads need a couple of days off now, with a Sunday game. Hope more than a few get in some good cryotherapy and massages over the next 4 days!

Understand some people feeling disappointed we didn’t totally put the tie to bed in the 2nd half due to sloppy play in the final 1\3. Just shows how far we have come that we feel like that after winning 3-1 at Old Trafford. Thought Bernardo & KDB pressed brilliantly 1st half & we could line up with something similar away at Real Madrid.
