A player whose ‘potential’ was always his biggest asset as opposed to actual ability.

In fact, the fact he’s English is his biggest contribution to this squad which says it all.

at least we are going to lose by a margin too big to blame var for it... too many games like today are why we won’t win it. Have to look at ourselves and unfortunately especially pep. I don’t doubt for a second we will come back stronger next year

Mahrez in top form - dropped , Rodri playing well , dropped.

Bernardo and sterling out of form - picked

Hate the dippers and they have been lucky wih injuries , but u can easily name their team every week.
 
Stones should've fouled him. Well no one expected an own goal from Ferna. Oh and it was Zaha a light Version of Hazard who is going to score a hattrick against us in about a month.

Kind of summed up our season. Dominated - 75 per cent possession, 25 shots but conceded 2 from the 5 attempts Palace mustered. VAR wasn’t kind to us and Pep is being a bit stubborn- although some of the criticism is people being wise after the event. Onwards and upwards City. We’d all have taken a point before Kun’s first goal but it’s annoying to turn it around and then throw it away. I honestly think Stones is done. His head is gone for now and he needs taking out of the firing line.
 
Utterly, utterly gutted. In every sense except the mathematical one, that is a defeat.
Pep has to take his share of responsibility in his team selection. Why rotate just in order to say you've rotated?! The lads had a good long break after Villa, which was virtually like a training session anyway.
Of the top nine teams, we have conceded more goals than five of them. The defence has been utter junk this season.

I get the changing of personnel but not the disregarding of a system that has been working really well for us.

Maybe a result like this will be a longer term blessing for the tactics he deploys going forward.

Unless we have two Laporte standard centre halves then we really need to be playing the 3 at the back system.

There’s zero excuses for that display.
Gundogan should never be in this team again, he’s destroying our tempo. There needs to be some serious questions asked about those goals we gifted today. Inexcusable.

Pep will NEVER learn, the team that ‘gelled’ against Villa, should have played again, stop FCUKING tinkering.
 
I hope we finish above Leicester/Chelsea, apart from that not much changed, Liverpool will win the league by 24 points in the end not by 22 maybe thats all that happened.
 
Did well to come back today but this is the reason why this team will start to be broken up in the summer . Anyone out there who still thinks John stones is good enough for Manchester City ? And what are we gonna do when kun walks away because that is a worry . Other than that these results happen every week in football and this team can’t see a win out very often .
 
We did well to get back into the game and to go ahead with two typical Sergio goals the lad is phononemial.

Said in the first half John Stones was shocking. Second half didnt get much better with his defending for the equaliser. He was pathetic.
His days is numbered in the summer in my opinion. He's a complete and utter coward. His decision making is pathetic.

Making it easy for the dippers now. Let's move on the next one and try get a run going before the Champions League.
