South Africa are currently in complete disarray, but England are doing the right things and pressing home their advantage. The rebuild is coming along nicely, and if they can get through Sri Lanka and find some spin combinations, then the summer should be promising.

De Kock finally out bowled by Wood peach of a delivery just clipped the bails.175/9 .will we enforce the follow-onI would bat again play SA out of the game

With plenty of time left, the obvious decision (weather permitting) is to bat again. Give the bowlers a chance to put their feet up for the rest of the day, and maybe until lunch tomorrow. Isn't Wood nursing a sore side anyway? Get a lead of 450+, that'll give us five sessions to bowl them out again.

Well done to Mark Wood. Seems a decent fella as well, very popular with the rest of the squad apparently.
Yep, top bowler if he can stay fit. The thought of him and Archer bombing into the Aussies is quite mouth watering. I like Woakes as well. Could we be coming to the end of the Anderson and Broad era?

Wood's fitness an interesting conundrum. Seems his longer run up has taken some of the strain and he is less likely to break down. Let's hope so.

Indeed, although 15 overs so far in this test, which he was 50/50 for following the last one seems a small sample size to suggest his injury troubles are over.

As fairly widely predicted, England haven't enforced the follow on. It's the sensible move. 217 runs ahead on the first innings. Get another 250 or so, bat until lunch tomorrow, that'll give them a lead of 450+, and five sessions to bowl the Proteas out for a second time.

philander off with a hammy strain apparently.i don't think he wants to be there anymore they shouldn't have played him.

never like not putting them back in and anything could happen and get bowled out cheaply ? but a good start and 64/1 as it stands right now should mean 450 plus and england should win, but for me go for the kill and finish them off and put them back in, but root got things right in this tour so come on england
