Not too sure about that to be honest. Foden DID play central for a large part of that game... when we pin them back and Angelino is high up the pitch. He has to go wide when Angelino is deep, but Foden has had two shots, one inside the box and has an assist. He’s not getting in those positions to show to Pep he should be in the middle, he’s in those areas because it’s his actual role. He creates superiority in the middle with Angelino taking the left flank.

He's also missed two shots he ought to have scored from, regardless of his position. He and Pep both looked pissed about them. Hope he scores in second half.
