Loads of fireworks going off around my house last night

Personally, I think anyone who buys fireworks needs their head testing in the first place but I’m not overly sure what they were celebrating? The start of a transition period that lots said they didn’t want or need? Or are they celebrating not actually knowing what our relationship with the EU and potentially the rest of the world will be like in 12 months

We’ll see how it pans out but I think a lot of people celebrating last night will be disappointed in 12 months

Ventured out to a pub tonight.

At 22:56 the DJ announced "Three minutes until we leave Europe. Any Romanians in you've got Three minutes to fuck off home!"

If this is a snapshot of a post Brexit UK I'm genuinely sad for the country.
Lucky he wasn't in a restaurant. Half the staff might have left.

Eight of us went to a quiet bar after a Labour meeting finished at 10pm. They seemed to turn up the music the more customers they had. And with at least one member of staff joining in with the 11 pm applau they suddenly lost eight customers.

Anyone else boycotting known Brexit businesses? And favouring those where you can practise a foreign language?

Why don't I believe this?

I'm a bit confused. Is Brexit done? Have we signed those 40 new oven-ready trade deals yet?

Just had a leave-supporting manufacturer in Leeds on the radio saying if tariffs impair exports he can always move some work and set up in the EU.

If it was a Labour meeting it could very easily have been 8 Jewish customers that got up and left.

Not sure on boycotting businesses but I do know the country just boycotted your anti-Semitic party.

Do enjoy your Brexit Vic.

You guys are so unlucky.

Everywhere you go there are racists and xenophobes.

Mat and his DJ, Bluetruebutneveractuallytrue and his racist bikers on the sea front.... The stories to fit your narratives are just endless.

Imagine that?

Jewish customers in a pub on the sabbath?

Just checked in on this thread, 680 new messages since 9 17 yesterday. No way can I read all them, can someone summarise, has something happened?

Nicola is not having it :)
