Spurs (A) Post Match Thread

I've not seen the incident yet after the pen but it was shoulder to shoulder for the 2nd yellow. Plus it was Gundagon who caused it not Zinchenko.
It’s only a legal shoulder charge if you’re both running in the same direction and trajectory as each other and the ball.

Zinchenko was running at a different angle to the ball and cut right across [was it] Winks[?].

Shoulder-to-shoulder but a clear foul and yellow card.

I think the players are now questioning Pep in their minds and the fact he doesn't seem to have the answers anymore.
I hope he stays but i wouldn't be shocked if Pep went in the summer

I trying to see what's affecting the mentally of our players this season, you just don't go from best to shit in such short period of time without some major changes in the club.

A combination of doggy referee decisions, VAR, injuries, negative media coverage.. etc. I truly believe after tonight Pep is leaving and the players know he's leaving and it's affecting them. Someone here mentioned that Poch is our next manager, and now I'm convinced this will happen in the summer.

That’s it.

Go all in for mmmboppy, don’t care if he costs £300 million.

I’ll throw in a few quid aswell.

Half the squad needs to go.

Give them a slap on the way out.

Fucking cowards in front of goal.

Seriously see what we can get for Sterling now.

Half the squad have won back-to-back Premier Leagues, the FA Cup, League Cup, over two hundred goals and your thoughts are abandon them in "hard" times - i.e. 2nd in the league, Carabao Cup final, FA Cup and CL to play for - slap them on the way out and call them cowards eh? That's callous.

yeah. Woof justice from the officials ;)

For those saying concentrate on CL/we are winning CL, no we are not winning championa league or even coming close.

He can f* off and all the bald git. The issue with pep is that whenever he's losing or chasing a game he starts bringing out these hipster formations that the footballing world have never ever been seen before and on the off chance they work he's hailed as a football genius and when most of them don't work it's because his teams is having an off day.

Half-hearted subs, lopsided formations, Aguero not taking penalties and our best AM out of position today are classic examples of this
Pmpl another giddy Scouser.
Fuck right off, your post is pure shite.
Well done winning the league, now fuck off.

Disappointing but largely irrelevant defeat. Played em off the park for large spells.

The only question to be asked is whether we blame the players for inability to finish or the manager ? Do they practice finishing enough ? It’s all well and good rolling in 6,7 and 8 goals against beaten, hopelessly overmatched opponents when the pressure’s off but in tight games when we need a goal players are bottling it and not taking responsibility.

Needs fixing
Spot on. Once a game goes past 20/25 minutes and it’s 0-0 I just know we’re going to struggle. It’s a massive problem for us as we just miss chance after chance when it really matters.

I'd sell him because his value is at its peak right now.

Do you think he will improve much more when he doesn't have someone like Pep managing him.

He's been awful all season, for me.

He's not been helped being played on the left flank.

People questioned when Ferguson sold top players at certain times. It was because he knew when the time was right.

while i can see your point Im not sure i trust the club to replace him with the right player.

same with Sane (though we have no choice with him at present)

sterlign and sane are our ony forwards with any real pace at all (and then there is only Walker in the rest of the team) - lose both Sterling and Sane and we become much slower paced team and while its not the be all and end all its an option we then dont have

Seen it again and its probably the right decision.
