As the penalty was missed along with chance after chance you just knew what was coming, I guess 98% of the forum did. First shot on target you knew they would score and they did. The regularity this happens is frightening.

Luck and lack of professionalism, finishing and decision making cost us once again and it's happening too regularly now it is becoming ingrained. At times certain players are weak mentally.

Going into the season with one trusted centre half was madness. Pep doesn't trust Otamendi or Stones with good reason. Add to the left back problem that has hung over us since we signed Mendy and it was a disaster waiting to happen. Spunked 65 million on Cancello who looks poor. For me only Walker and Laporte survive close season in defence.

Rodri you can see has quality but at times is slow and ponderous and Gundogan similar. We have missed Fern in midfield but he is coming up 35 now. Silva is leaving at the end of the season and for me Foden is a big drop in quality, but then almost anyone would be after Silva.

Up front only Aguero looks dangerous and he's not getting any younger. Sterling's form has dropped off a cliff, will it ever return? Mahrez blows hot and cold and today it was cold, culminating in that atrocious corner that led to the sending off. Jesus for me will always be a back up striker.

I think we need a world class centre half and left back, both with pace and a dynamo to finally replace Fern,. Rodri has a place but I can't see him replacing Fern.

This side has some major issues but for me none more-so than the full backs again. I am sick to fucking death of watching these not fit for purpose turds that we call out right and left backs.

Walker - Any chance of ever making anything other than a 5 yard backwards pass to a centre back?
Mendy - Always fucking injured.
Zinchenko - Never anything but a back-up in a top side.
Cancelo - We havent got a clue if any use cos can’t get a run in the side.

You need to get on to one of the penalty competitions at half time! Yes, you are right. It lacked power and would have had to be almost off the post to score unless the keeper went the wrong way.
