Spurs (A) Post Match Thread

Ball was going out of play is why var official didn't give it. After what Sterling had been involved with earlier there'd have been a riot if they had.

The stream i had had Graham Le Saux banging on constantly that it was horror tackle by Sterling and should've been straight red. I thought it was an honest challenge and he got the ball first (cant find a vid) but can see why a yellow was given

he didn't get the ball, it was a proper ankle breaker, not deliberate, but nasty all the same

I had the stream with Le Saux as well. Not only did he bang on about a definite red card for Sterling, in the first half, a Spurs player commited a foul to stop us breaking on them. Le Saux said 'he took one for the team'. Soon as Zinch commited his foul, the narrative changed to 'tactical fouls'. Only us then hey?

I don't think the problem was Sterling not getting pen, it was Gundogan missing it... How many penalties we are going to miss ?
Zinchenko, why the fu*k he had to do it? He is faster than the c*nt... he was going to outrun him. I feel like the players just gave up fighting, at least some of them.

Getting beat by the rags was bad enough but losing to the team I have despised since 1981 just deepened the annoyance. And then to realise that with over 30 attempts at goal in those matches we failed to hit the target once, and even missed yet another penalty making the dark cloud even darker. And there is no lifting for a couple of weeks as the players are on a jolliday.
Our defence of the title is heading toward one the worst on record.

Shame, was there ever any mention of last season being amogst the best, if not the best title defence in history?

Have I missed the discussion on Sterling's challenge on Alli? What's the consensus? I see Gallagher said he went in "studs up", did he? I've seen a couple of replays, it didn't appead that way to me.

Wherever we end up in the table this season, the RDAHMeedya, after they have rubbed Klippity's todger like an Aladdin's lamp a thousand times will not doubt pontificate that our defence of the title was the world's worst! It's what I expect from those tossers.

He happened to go through the ball and end up on Alli's ankle. If Alli's tackle last season, halfway up a City player's shin, was only deemed to be a yellow then Raheem's was only a yellow!

He wasn't, he was leaning back at point of contact

How did Lloris manage to escape a yellow 'cos he started the fracas by pushing Sterling. And it's bloody typical of the reffing in this league that a dozen and a half players start shoving and pushing and just two get booked. What was different between the 'behaviour' of the two booked and the rest?
