They started the investigation just before the 5 years was up so they are OK on that front

Its not the 5 years from settlement to investigation, it’s five years from the alleged breach. It appears that UEFA haven’t actually detailed the dates of the alleged breaches, though

That’s from my limited understanding

Can anyone be kind enough to update me on where we're at?

From what I've briefly read:

1. There's a huge problem with the independence of the process through which City were punished.

2. Etihad may have been subsidised by Abu Dhabi Executive Council (which is what the emails refer to?), not by ADUG. This would not make them a related party therefore the case against City is nonsense and wouldn't stand up in any independent court.

Is that accurate?

There might be a reason why they haven’t.

Can anyone remind me if UEFA found that City and Etihad were not related parties and has a link to it?
In the latest financial report no mention of Etihad being a related party I believe UEFA use the same accounting standards

Arsenal have the greatest history of any team in the world.
Historically they have had influence over the fa for more than a century and at one time were the fa.
Punishing clubs who won or threatened to win trophies
Historically the biggest cheating bastards in world football.

How they have the audacity to criticise us after all the money that’s been pumped into them over the years from external benefactors! They didn’t even get into the top flight of English Football by fair means, they bribed their way in. Wankers.

Got promoted to Division one from 6th place in Div 2 (at the expense of Spurs) after the war. Got Gillespie Road tube renamed Arsenal to make it looked like they belonged in North London (they couldn't get anyone to go and watch them in Woolwich).

I could go on. Properly dodgy history that lot. They have no right to cast aspersions on any other club.

(If Manchester City offered a vote to the fans.) CAS and Uefa offered a suspended ban with a heavy fine which way should we go?
Impossible to answer without knowing what sort of "exculpatory evidence" the club apparently have, but if given the choice right now of a one year ban or the unknown, I'd lean towards taking the year and getting it over with. There is a reason around 90% of civil cases settle pre-trial. Litigation is messy. You go before a judge and anything can happen. Plus, I think many of us here are unwilling to really consider, or vastly underestimating, just how damaging two years out of the CL would actually be.
