How many clubs have challenged UEFAs authority by appealing to CAS just like City? Milan, Chelsea, Lyon, Arsenal, Galatasaray. Real Madrid, Barcelona and Chelsea all challenger FIFAs authority.

None of them were heralded as bringing about the end of the sport for pursuing a legal course of action agreed on by both parties

How long is the whole CAS appeal process likely to take. Chelsea's transfer ban was removed just before Jan 1st so is that over 6 months?

Indeed Neville talking sense, albeit about FFP as a concept being wrong. That is somewhat irrelevant since our chance to challenge FFP rules disappeared long ago. He does go on to say that he believes we will beat UEFA in the courts, his opinion isn't based on the facts of the case its because UEFA are "a hopeless organisation":-

Very well said. Anyone who writes those words simply cannot understand what it means to support a football team. Of course, in the absence of any firm evidence to the contrary, City fans’ default position on going to be to defend the club against UEFA. Very impressed with what Neville had to say last night, I know some believe he did this because of his ownership of Salford but even so, he certainly put a solid argument across. Its just a shame that there aren't more like him in the media, who are willing to say what needs to be said, even if it puts them in a huge minority. It was clear the guy (Dave is it?) in the studio, wanted to move on as quickly as possible to a differing viewpoint, because it clearly didnt fit the narrative that City are a disgrace to football and life in general.

I think where he comes from, the legal representative gets a cut of the proceeds, but only if they win the case.
