Agree with all of that but I don't think Tommy Doyle is part of the first team squad(yet).

...no we don't really disagree, I might disagree about "all clubs" though, we have a local one who just throws them into the deep end of first team only to find out they're not really good enough, that's different, they may end up with a football career, but its often tarnished by being shown that path first, neither of our clubs do that in general, the best are loaned well.

At the very top end it is difficult to let young players have a consistent place in the side. Expectations are completely different to City and Liverpool in this league. Look at the Liverpool team who managed to get Arnold and Gomez in when they weren't expected to win the league. I don't remember anymore last season or this season getting regular starts. The lad Curtis looked superb against Everton and he is moaning he never gets much of a chance.

Young players at the elite clubs have to bide their time more these days as the top clubs have a lot of experienced talent ahead of them

Yeah, I know he was 19 when he joined, I think he went into the youth teams first hence I included him. I know I am pushing it with Hart and he did cost us £810k from Shrewsbury which I will add. Yeah feel free to disclude him if you wish.
