I can tell you that UEFA don't have the emails. Their sole evidence, the thing they've based their case on, is the Der Spiegel stories. That is it. They can't prove that these emails ever existed or are genuine.

No wonder we wre so confident. CAS will laugh them out of court.

if that’s accurate I hope we absolutely rinse the lot of them....then sue them for damages to reputation

If that's true, and I have no reason to doubt Prestwich_Blue, then we have nothing to worry about and this will all be over soon.

The stupidity of UEFA taking such bold action on such little evidence seems scarcely believable though.
But in the mean time more mud gets thrown at the club, and much of it sticks.

Hence why we get the little chits in the twitter WhatsApp group targeting the club and now the fans.

So let’s get this straight PB - your telling us that the only evidence UEFA has is what would be classified as hearsay and non submittable evidence in a real court of law ? That’s big if that the case.

Are UEFA really that fuckin dumb?
That's a genuine question PB.
It's unbelieviable if that is true.
I'm not sure if I've made this point clearly enough but this isn't UEFA. It's the old G-14 cartel driving this. They were apparently the ones who threatened the AC that there would be consequences if they didn't confirm the ban. Paddy Power may have thought my "fight to the death" tweet was hysterical or hyperbole but it really wasn't.

Is that true PB?

I don't mean this as a challenge to your info - you've demonstrated both an insight and an access to detail which clearly shows you can be trusted, so I'm not doubting your credibility - but if what you say here is accurate, that is alarming, and calls into question the entire UEFA process.

If their entire case is based on the information contained in those DS articles, and nothing else, I'm astonished the AC - with some of the respected figures who sit on it - ratified the decision of the IC and confirmed the sanctions.

If this is the case, as you say we really don't have anything to worry about here - their case will barely stand up to the most basic scrutiny at CAS, and will surely be over-turned as a complete waste of everyone's time!

I've said this before; UEFA (the organisation) are piggy in the middle. The old G-14 clubs have systematically targeted us in all sorts of ways. There's things I can't say publicly or privately but it's quite astonishing what has been going on.

So without giving anything away, and understanding the sensitivity here - would you say that all of this will come out in the end ? Either publicly or more likely a closed door meeting that ends up with is begrudgingly given a seat at the top table - with the weight of potential disclosure behind it.

Will we be able to get revenge on these loathsome bastard clubs once we win the court case? There are two in particular I'd love to see absolutely taken to the cleaners.

I won't ask you to disclose anything of course , but given what you know, and without disclosing any confidences, and also without holding you to any predictions, on a scale of 1 to 10, how confident are you that this whole thing will turn out well for City?

I'm a 10 but I accept that is based on not much more than blind faith.

The real nonesense is that we "signed up to FFP rules" as did the hundreds if not thousands of football clubs that never will qualify to enter for UEFA comptetions. Representative democracy my arse.

Cunnts everywhere mate. The cunnts who slag us off for not having a bigger fan base are the same cunnts who are putting people off supporting us because of their constant attacks on our great club and our great fans. The same aging fan base is broadly having to sustain the support, and is doing a fucking wonderful job - I am talking about the match going fans, not the moaning match day thread ones, who frankly don’t add anything tangibly positive to the experience of being a Blue. The ones who constantly slag their own club off are as bad as the media in my opinion

PB, without divulging anything, but with the knowledge you have, are you confident we will be cleared

We had no choice but to sign up or we couldnt play in the champions league

Of course it will. Ww can deal with UEFA but we have to take the fight to the real enemy and I imagine that will be fought out in the public gaze. Their first league title in 30 years and they'll be choking on it.

Yes I followed the match day thread on Wednesday, which is a rarity. And I see what you mean.

You are right to remind us about this. It has always been the case that our commercial rivals both here and in Europe have been driving all this. I am certain that the last thing UEFA wanted when the Der Spiegel story came out was a long battle with City. UEFA has enough problems on its plate fighting off FIFA. I also think the UK media has played a huge role in this egged on by some of our rivals. Martin Samuel has called this saga correctly.

I'm told there were 5 charges laid against us. I'm not our legal representative but everything suggests 3 or 4 of those will fall quite easily. We've still got the charge of failure to co-operate but we felt that with UEFA acting on the thinnest of evidence, we had no need to. Why should we willingly co-operate in something designed to hurt us? I'm sure we had good legal grounds not to.
