  • The football technocrats: includes administrators like Ceferin
  • Tebas and City's rival club officials.

The language supports this.

It has literally gone over my head what this geezer has said and like somebody alluded to UEFA is full of old, bitter and jealous chairman/Ex chairman of the cartel that don't want us in the champions league.

I think this is pretty significant, and unsuprising. I've seen Matthew Syed reciting talking points clearly sourced from a Spanish Journalist who bashed out some stuff about Pep, Spanish Nationalistic populist rhetoric designed to whip up patriotism and hatred towards Catalonia. It seems that when City are involved, ethical standards w/r/t care with political association goes out the window. Very disappointing.

Really unusual. When have they ever seen fit to interview about any proceedings before.
Who is it aimed at? Us or the cartel?
I’m inclined to think us as, as I don’t think he’d have any trouble or second thoughts about explaining privately to the cartel.
It’s hard to gauge is it just distancing himself from a shitshow that he knows is going to happen. Or is it an attempt to legitimise UEFA’s part in what will come out in the media as a shitshow.
It was like an advertisement, to show how impartial and incorruptible they are.
