I would imagine that Cheltenham is probably far more dangerous than football due to the preponderance of cash. Again, just an opinion, but i would think that some virus hanging around for a few hours on bank notes is a far bigger risk than any random outdoor transmission and the number of hands a bank note might go through in a day is huge.

Whilst not disagreeing with any of that, it does make me smile, a little at least, when random people who are stuck on a cruise ship describe it as like 'being in prison'...

I have never been in prison but i would imagine them to be different to a cruise ship. Still if your stuck there i guess it gets pretty boring pretty quick.

We normally get a bit of a heatwave in May. I'm not sure this heat will kill it is entirely accurate though as hot countries are seeing it prosper too.

its just my guess,,i dont think a good summer temp will see this off, the labs by now would have cultivated the virus and exposed it to to minus and plus conditions 'i would have thought' if they had discovered that it stops at say 25 deg then surely that would have been big news by now

I’d presumed that the not shaking hands was more symbolic. A way of demonstrating to Joe Public that it wasn’t necessary, perhaps. As you say, playing behind closed doors is an absolute nonsense of an idea. If people can’t watch it, it shouldn’t be played.

I worked on ships, including some cruise ships, for years. Being confined on the ship with freedom to move about is one thing, being confined to a cabin is another. This would indeed be similar to prison. The decor and bedding may be better and if they have decent satellite tv and wi fi the choice of things to watch and read much improved, but you would soon become stir crazy.
