Yes, but China will have fucking thousands of dead people who are still welded inside their apartment blocks....

Do we have any idea of the wielding people inside blocks thing ? I know there was a couple of YouTube videos that I’m not totally sure were verified- but how many people were actually wielded inside , are we talking hundreds ? Thousands ?

What should be the personal plan though?

I mean this genuinely.

I’d class myself as pretty fit and healthy, go to the gym, run and play football, exercise pretty much 7 days a week.

I can work from home so that’s ok.

So, take for example this evening. I’m due to play football at 7 for an hour. Am i now not supposed to go?

If I want to go to the gym tomorrow and do spin, should I not go there now?

If City is still on against Burnley and Madrid, should I not go?

If I fancy a couple of pints tonight in my local to hopefully see the scousers get beat, should I not go?
Indeed. It's all well and good criticising individuals, but often we have little choice over what we do. I can't just stop working because my employer hasn't said I can. And my employer hasn't said I can because they haven't been advised that it's necessary by the government.

I'm supposed to be flying back to the UK in the middle of April for a wedding. I don't know if that's going to be feasible, because firstly, will the flights still be running, secondly, will I risk quarantine meaning that I miss the only reason I'm coming in the first place, thirdly, will gatherings like weddings be banned, and finally, will I be allowed back into Malaysia afterwards? Given the number of British citizens currently coughing and spluttering their way around Vietnam at the moment, it's not guaranteed. The other thing is that without governments putting official restrictions in place, I'm not likely to get a refund for my flight, because they'll say that there's nothing stopping me flying.

I'm similar. A mate opens a bar on Friday, City Saturday and 5-a-side on Wednesday. Personally, I don't think I should go but seen as though the Government have accepted its her, accepted we can't really do anything about it and are telling us to carry on until we can't I think I might do all 3. I'm conflicted
It’s crazy. I might already have it, I had a beer with Worsley and Karen last Sunday at Wembley. I feel 100% fit and healthy at the moment but who knows?

I feel more inclined to be telling my 80 year old mum to not leave the house very often, which I’ve already done, but for me I don’t see what I can do other than carry on as normal until I’m told not to leave the house.

I’m relatively fortunate that I can run my business from home, my missus works at same school as my daughter so when that shuts they will both be home, and my lad will no doubt get sent home from Uni soon enough.

For others though I appreciate it must be a fucking bummer.

Governments advice is to carry on as normal at this time I guess. I’m surrounded by elderly folks where I live though so it would stupid of me to not alter my activities. Gym is one I’m going to hold off on for now, I’ve picked up plenty of illnesses from there in the past. I think we’ll all have to make these judgements for ourselves because the government won’t do it for us. How that pans out I’m not so sure given the way Italy has gone.

Exactly. So what changes?

For you personally, not a right lot. Just be more vigilant and do what you can (e.g washing your hands after you get home from wherever)

For the overwhelming majority in the same category as you then nothing much changes.

Looked pretty real to me when I saw it. I’d guess that was the only way they could stop this as quickly as they did.

Isn't it generally the case that the lower the mortality rate, the higher the total number of deaths though? As long as most people with the virus can go about their normal business, they'll be more likely to spread it to the vulnerable.
That might be theoretically true, but there will be many of the deceased who may well have perished anyway.
Just as an example, over 12000 Italians die every week. 10200 die every week, in the UK. What nobody knows is how many of the people who died in the first week of March, and had the virus, would have died in the 1st week in March anyway. Given the multiple health problems that are associated with some of the deceased you would imagine quite a few.
