I think he's got lung cancer so you're probably right.
Don't wish it on anyone but he really is unpleasant.
Oh I don’t wish it on anyone either. Nor will I shed a tear. He’s a ghastly **** and the world will be a better place without his lying, racist vitriol.

What should be the personal plan though?

I mean this genuinely.

I’d class myself as pretty fit and healthy, go to the gym, run and play football, exercise pretty much 7 days a week.

I can work from home so that’s ok.

So, take for example this evening. I’m due to play football at 7 for an hour. Am i now not supposed to go?

If I want to go to the gym tomorrow and do spin, should I not go there now?

If City is still on against Burnley and Madrid, should I not go?

If I fancy a couple of pints tonight in my local to hopefully see the scousers get beat, should I not go?

I went out today with my daughter (2yo) for the first time since the weekend, and at the weekend I was pretty much holed up anyway in another property I rent out as I was painting it, so not had much interaction with the general public last 5-7 days.

I quickly realised that whatever I do to safeguard myself, it’s going to be very difficult with my little girl because she’s into everything when we are out. Touching everything, putting her hands in her mouth etc. It would be impossible to stop her, and not practical to be constantly washing her hands when we are out. So if I am to get it, it’s possible I’ll pick it up from her, unless we just box ourselves in at home. Regardless of all that, we could be as diligent as possible with our daughter, she goes to nursery and picks it up there from another child.

I’d just crack on with life personally, unless you have a serious underlying condition

Apparently there's a pandemic out there and a bunch of my doctor pals have gone to play 5-a-side sans masks, so...

I went to Asda after work for a few bits and The Nesbitt's must have been out there in force this week. No soap, no bog roll, no pasta. Wtf

Wife said the same bud, there are a bunch of selfish buggers out there, imagine how bad they'd be if there was genuine food shortages. As a society we've come a long way from singing songs in the blitz, at least it's put the "We are becoming a much nicer society" nonsense to bed.

It's every man/woman/and everything in between for themselves.

Thousands of Spanish football fans currently in Liverpool. Why on earth have they been allowed here???

people also getting off flights from Italy and not being tested

Yeah and as anfield will be full of irish, north welsh, swedish, norwegians, woollybacks, and many more out of towners, this game could spread the virus to more places than a coach party from Italy

This is the first time i've seen a post which examines the problem of the death rate statistics logically. I've been wanting to post something similar but holding back because there are a couple of posters who will jump on it.
The fact is that the average age of those who die in Italy is 81 and they almost all have more than one underlying health problem. They may well have died from any viral infection and gone un noticed but because it's COVID they are now a statistic of interest. As I posted earlier, old people die. If it's not one thing it's another. Only by comparing total death rates would you know if this is having a significant impact and i've been unable to find any Statistics is far.
I’m guessing the Italian authorities may have some idea about that and one can see they’re just as insouciant as yourself. What with locking downs their entire country and bringing on a guaranteed recession and stuff.

We didn’t panic buy but now we’ve got nothing to wipe our arses on.

Don’t believe the Pathé newsreels. It was exactly the same then and one of the reasons why rationing was introduced.

Yours looks very similar to China around day 23, maybe its reaching the peak now, our news said tonight that the first town it was detected in had no new cases today for the first time. I can't remember the towns name unfortunately.
Day 17 maybe. There’s no real gap between total recoveries and deaths in Italy and there was at day 23 in China.

We've been going on a few days saying it's about the health system getting overwhelmed, and not so much about straight-up personal covid risk. Even if that is obviously also a concern and gets worse if the health system is overwhelmed.

He got there in the end
