I never said it was normal flu. I think it's bad and we should be doing more, or have done more. I just don't think it will kill between 100000 and 500000 people in the UK like you do.

I was actually talking to the Mrs about that very thing last night mate, My young un is in KS6 & her Sats are middle of May. But obviously if children miss quiet a bit of school in the run up to exams it would put them on the back foot. Have to wait and see I guess.

SATS should be banned anyway.

3 weeks away I think, so it would be 5 weeks.

Some break up of schools/collahes will be two weeks before easter weekend and some the week before and after.

So yeah they could wait an extra week, but just don't think they have a choice anymore.

Easter holidays is two week away from sunday.

I expect a lockdown to be anounced friday for schools/college/uni so 4 weeks closure.

Whether they also lockdown other institutions , who knows

Surely after tomorrow’s cobra meeting, we can expect significant measures being taken before the end of the week. It would be totally absurd to go into next week with no changes. And it’s already absurd!

Yeah they will start rolling out shut downs in the next day or so. Sports and schools will be among the first to be shuttered. Can see all European football being suspended including us. Closed doors for football isn’t going to work as fans will just gather outside.

I think even that timeline wouldn’t have been overreacting (in retrospect, anyway).

The fact the Liverpool-Atleti match (as much as we all enjoyed it immensely) was allowed to go on was irresponsible.

Then again, it potentially impacts me on both sides of my family, so I am of course going to have strong feelings about it.
