Wasn't COVID-19 the spurs fan who used to put bar charts up on this forum?
I have not got it just been informed.
Just a chest infection. Need to watch I don’t get this on top mind.
Fucking tough times though and left me a bit depressed. Worried sick about my old man.
Just to clarify for others, SARS-CoV-2 is the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19.I was reading the medical literature today about coronavirus and came across a paper by yao et al, 2020 who have just published a study that suggests that an existing anti-arthritis / anti-malarial treatment (Hydroxychloroquine) maybe effective against coronavirus. The paper is titled In Vitro Antiviral Activity and Projection of Optimized Dosing Design of Hydroxychloroquine for the Treatment of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). I know it relates to another coronavirus but I have seen comments that it maybe effective against Covid19.
Something to think about if you are an arthritis sufferer or your parents are but you'd have to go through your GP as this is not available over the counter.
It is not a vaccine but this paper suggests it maybe of use as an anti-viral treatment. Note though that this is a test-tube study and not a human trial however we already know the drug has been deemed safe for arthritis patients (subject to some side effects which maybe important for some people).
I post this hoping you will treat the information with caution, but interest. So far much of the news about Covid19 has been how a vaccine is 12 months away, but there are anti-viral treatments that I have heard are being used.

I am glad you do not already have it but I can relate to the worry of getting it on top of what you already have.I have not got it just been informed.

Brighton might still be on,i will risk it if you will haWe will do it when we are both better. To celebrate.
Thanks. Just checked. You are correct athough it does not cause COVID-19. It is the proper scientific name for COVID-19. They are one and the same virus. I didn't realise that when I read the paper. I thought it was a closely related virus.Just to clarify for others, SARS-CoV-2 is the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19.
I am feeling quite a bit better this evening, last night i couldn't sleep for coughing, maybe that was getting my lungs cleared out for good, hopefullyAnd how are you feeling?

You'll be sore from coughing, when you have a coughing fit hold a pillow to your chest and bend fowards and it will helpWent to the doctor as well tonight, says I've just got a cold and it's just hit me bad. No real tests, checked my breathing with a stethoscope and then sent me on my way. I guess thats good then...
Still got a bad cough and a sore chest mind.
Not necessarily.Turkey’s doing well too - only 1 confirmed case so far
EVERY pneumonia case, in this country at least, will be tested for Coronavirus. People who’ve died from pneumonia, if they haven’t been tested before death and/or had a post mortem, will be swabbed to test for the virus. What this will do is tell you that a deceased person had Coronavirus, not that they necessarily died of it and, as over 25000 people die from pneumonia every year, it’s quite important.
I thought the advice was to ring 111 so as not to put the GP and other patients at risk. perhaps you rang 111 first.Went to the doctor as well tonight, says I've just got a cold and it's just hit me bad. Exactly. I think as a society we’ve got to question if we have the right priorities. We can recover from the hit to the economy or the societal impact, no matter how hard that may be to do and how long it takes. There’s no recovery from losing loved ones, particularly if we haven’t done everything possible to stop it.
