How did i know after yesterdays announcement one member of my staff in particular would suddenly self isolate!
That's a huge jump - I was encouraged by the smaller than expected leap in cases yesterday (but not by the number of deaths of course), but that's fucking worrying.
It one of my hopes from this crisis that companies realise we can work from home permanently.Working from home from today and I had the best days work in years. Nice and quiet, not having to drag myself out of bed and sit in an hours traffic both ways, not having to pretend I like the people in the office, get to shit on your own toilet. It's the future.

Might it just be a natural effect of the increase in test kits from 1500 to 10000, and then the delay in getting results from those tests?
Or maybe a nice 2 weeks at home. Any other member of my team, no problem. I called this one !Maybe because they are following advice from the government?

Are the briefings at a set time each day? Do we know when today’s is?

More like human nature kicking in and lazy bastard is swinging the leadMaybe because they are following advice from the government?
But having to use your own toilet roll. There's the rub- if you will. ;-)

If they’re still working there’s not much nice about it.
Only a certain percentage. Otherwise fuck all would get done. Just emails going round in circles passing the buck and denying all knowledge. Next time you need a plumber or sparks or broadband engineer ask him if he can do it ftom his front room and save all the bother of traffic jams and the likesIt one of my hopes from this crisis that companies realise we can work from home permanently.

Might be interesting to the science nerds on here.
Key conclusion: the ICL study "underestimates the benefits of a lockdown."
...not having to pretend I like the people in the office...
