Just been to Tesco to get the last bits of forgotten about the other day so that I don’t have to go anywhere to mix with others for a good week, maybe even two weeks now.
I wore a mask and latex gloves... I got a lot of funny looks, I saw people tapping each other saying “look at him”, a couple of people were laughing at me, and the fella on the check out said “I’ve heard those masks don’t work”!
I said to him; “even if it doesn’t stop me breathing it in, it reduces the chances that I’ve just breathed it all over your fruit+veg and over you while I’m talking to you!” I could see on his face he knew exactly what I meant and hopefully that will make a bigger impression on him than the thousands who think this is a joke and in some cases a
But the masses are not getting this. From my mini-experiment this afternoon I’d say I got at least a funny look from about 75% of the people I walked past. Without even saying owt to me I could see in their faces what they were thinking (“haha come on you fool, think you’re taking it a bit seriously aren’t you?”)
