Cuban doctors arriving in Lombardy, Italy.

Cuba's been exporting trained doctors for quite a while - they're considered to be very good.
Also, having seen the Cuban health service up close, they'll be pretty good at working in difficult or under-equipped conditions.

The reasons underlying the German & Swiss case fatality rates don't seem to have been explained yet - they have an older population than Italy and others and have not introduced such stringent lockdown measures.

I agree with Morgan but i think he needs to be aiming it at boris and the health experts,in reality he is a minister doing his best, this has never happened before and i think he is not the one taking the decisions such as locking the country down
I agree Karen. FWIW I think Matt Hancock has handled himself and things generally, admirably. He's under an ENORMOUS amount of pressure, working perhaps 20 hours a day and interviews late evening and then early morning. I get the impression he's doing his level best. He's only been health minister for a few months and is not responsible for what went before.

Not sure how accurate that is as some expert this morning said get anything delivered by cardboard. Said this absorbs the virus. Then again this was on the BBC so not sure if that can be taken as read.
from all i have seen here and i america packages you get delivered like amazon is high risk, yyou have to empty then, throw out the cardboard, wash you hands and disifect everything the boxes touched

Morgan did say several times during the interview that he thinks Hancock does want tougher measures, this anger was directed at Bojo - but Hancock happened to be the one being interviewed.

we have decided to call it at our house today?

I have had a scratchy throat for a couple of weeks, an irritant cough, but nothing persistent. No real temperature. Last two days my cough has become more regular and working hard to hack and clear my airways (without much luck) I also have a leaky nose. It's my eyes though, they feel really dry and stingy - is that even a symptom?

I have purposely stayed at home the majority of this time and stayed away from people, wife and kids have no symptoms. Just keep our distance from each other and enjoying the garden.

All of the above I would also get for allergies/hay fever but not sure if even the season for it?

I'm frustrated by this because feel strong. My little girl's birthday tomorrow. The plan is for me to sleep in my office and continue to work in there through the day, with the kids being home in their own rooms studying.

Apart from that, I do the 14-days - they do seven - we just retain two metre distance within our own home?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
it doesn't affect your eyes lovely, the cough and temperature and difficulty breathing are the symptoms, take an antihistamine and seee if that helps your eyes

Yeah we did this a few pages back

I have a question. Is someone with diabetes at higher risk from coronavirus? My mom has diabetes and she is 51. Although she has not caught anything, I am still worried about her.

That is what I would love to know too. I assume their healthcare is just so much better / cleaner than the Italian, but I’m just guessing

'high risk' for all deliveries to your door surely then? Not the opinion of the BBC TV expert Chris Smith at the week end - he said that virus is highly unlikely to survive the journey
Yeah we did this a few pages back
better let the experts know the results then

I’m beginning to think there’s different strains maybe?
I've wondered the same. I can understand why there death rates are so much lower if they are compared with a health service which is overloaded (not enough ICU capacity) whilst Germany's is not.

But that is not (yet) the case in the UK and yet they have a 15x or so lower mortality rate than us. It makes no sense. I can believe they are better, but 15x better? Seems very strange.

I have a few questions as to why but it’s frustrating to not have any data to see.
