Interested to see how they are going to police all of this now, as you're obviously going to have dick heads flouting the rules.

How do you stop people going shopping every day etc...

Will it be a thing where you have to present ID?
Police have said they will be focussing on serious crime to so the question is fair. Is a person going for 3 walks a day enough to commit resources to etc? where will they draw the line.

I think a lot of it is a bluff with hope the threat will keep people on track with it all. What i think will happen is they will rely on the public seeing others flout rules and thinking "why is this **** doing that whilst i am sat in here like a good but very bored idiot, i'm calling the police on this tosser". A garden party for example, if social butterfly dave next door is always having a house full a neighbour will get pissed off and report them. What will the police response be? probably minimal is my guess as the hassle of proving it and all the red tape to get them done is likely to much hassle. They have already given up doing people for weed and other lesser crimes so i can't see them doing a 180 on it unless they can magic up 100k new coppers in an instant.

Her and Sam fox the most famous page 3 girls when I was growing up
Can’t remember which mag, I’d guess it was Mayfair, but it was sooooo exciting when Sam did the full nude spread. I was the one designated to go in to the newsagents and buy it so we could all have a look, as I was the tallest, lol.

There are plenty of democratic countries on a stronger and longer lockdown than the UK.

The governments first priority is to protect its citizens. He’s already done it too late so no one with half a brain cell can complain about this. It’s still far too lax imo.
I'm just so sad these measures were not brought in 2 weeks ago. And for what?

The really really stupid thing is that the lockdown was always unavoidable and yet by delaying we've allowed the peak to be 10x higher than it would have been. We haven't even limited the amount of time people have their freedoms curtailed. Paradoxically we will now have to have lockdown for much longer than had we acted sooner. We have therefore delayed for no reason whatsoever.

Get the army out shooting anyone not wearing jogging pants or with shopping bags.

;-)
In all seriousness you’re right mate they’re just hoping to deter people with the threat. The police haven’t properly patrolled this country since 1967.

Police could fine £100 for anyone breaking the rules , however petty it is, that money could be a life saver for Goverment right now.

I am a bit worried as I have not had a txt or letter saying I should stay off work.

The Crohns and Colitis website says you are in the high risk category if you are taking 20mG or more of Prednisone a day, which I am. It also says you are in the high risk group if you have moderate to active disease despite being on immunosuppressants within the last month. Well I am literally pissing blood out of my back side, even though I am on the prednisone. Added to that I am constantly pissing kidney stones out of my front end.

My doctor is an idiot and it is murder trying to get onto him. I do not know what to do as this virus will wipe me out.
I think they have said the majority of people will receive notification tomorrow, i know some have had details today though.

Great article on the BBC Midlands TV on GTech's creation of a ventilator that will go into production at the end of this week.

Amazon

We believe our role serving customers and the community during this time is a critical one, and we want to make sure our customers can get the items they need, when they need them. As COVID-19 has spread, we've recently seen an increase in people shopping online which has had an impact on how we serve our customers, but we are working around the clock with our selling partners to ensure availability of essential products, and to continue to bring on additional capacity to deliver customer orders.

5. Is it possible to reduce contact with the driver when they deliver my order?
Yes. Drivers have been advised to reduce contact with customers by placing packages at the customer’s doorstep and stepping back. If an ID check is required, these are now performed at a distance

4. Is it safe to receive orders?
The likelihood of an infected person contaminating commercial goods is low and the risk of catching the virus that causes COVID-19 from a package that has been moved, travelled, and exposed to different conditions and temperature is also low
