COVID-19 — Coronavirus

Just had to go out for food and big shout to Waitrose Cheadle Hulme. Spraying all the trollies, making people queue outside with safe distances maintained, only letting people in when someone come out and limiting the number of people in the shop as a whole. Literally no more than one or two people per aisle. Plenty of extra staff from John Lewis helping and shelves relatively full. They also had limited supplies of pasta, rice and toilet roll. Everyone smiling and being positive. At least we know how to behave and self distance even if Londoners don't.

Been told i can work from home 2 days a week but have to go into the office the other 3 days.
This coronavirus is weird, it's dodgy on Tuesdays & Wednesdays so i can stay at home then but obviously Monday, Thursday & Friday are virus free.
My company should tell W.H.O as i don't think they realise this breakthrough
In fairness, the company have admitted to getting it completely wrong and have apologised......i can only work from home for one day now but i do get to pick which day ffs

Has anyone else had a text to stay in?
Yes, I've just had a text from the government telling me to stay at home! Probably due to my NHS notes telling them that I have mild Asthma and moderate Raised Blood Pressure.
As I've already had COVID-19 it's only 2 or 3 weeks to late! :-D

Of course, I may not have had it, but if I haven't then there must be another very strange virus out there with the symptoms I've had. The sooner this antibody test is available so I know one way or the the other, the better.

First day totally symptom free!

Only rich fuckers can go to Waitrose us poor peasants have Lidl and mass looting to contend with

every mobile phone is being sent the text.

Sat here desperately hoping for less than 550 deaths in Italy to continue the downward slide. Hopefully even less. If that's the case we can hope that Spain will have similar results from our lockdown in about 4/5 days.

Sods law that the more this virus has spread, the better the weather has got.

We've never needed rain like we do now. The kind of weather we were having a month ago would keep a lot of these selfish c**ts indoors.
Have some of ours (SE Spain) only 12 degrees, windy. and raining squally showers. Not used to this at all, suits lockdown I suppose.

I presume that's rhetorical.
If not, do you mean UK or Ireland?
It's not rhetorical. It's just more confusion.
Someone posted yesterday a text that they'd got:

"NHS Coronavirus Service: We have identified that you're someone at risk of severe illness if you catch Coronavirus. Please remain at home for a minimum of 12 weeks. Home is the safest place for you. Staying in helps you stay well and that will help the NHS too. You can open a window but do not leave your home, and stay 3 steps away from others indoors. Wash your hands more often, for at least 20 seconds."

The link to much more detailed advice eventually includes the following (but only under how not to go stir crazy):

"try spending time with the windows open to let in the fresh air, arranging space to sit and see a nice view (if possible) and get some natural sunlight, or get out into any private space, keeping at least 2 metres away from your neighbours and household members if you are sitting on your doorstep". (Presumably on a chair on your doorstep.)
