I think we've suspected for a long time that UEFA have very little to use against us, if anything, but this screams of the arrogance of a corrupt organisation which is sure it will never be called to account and so it can abrogate to itself the roles of prosecution, judge and jury with absolutely no concern whatsoever for due process. It's the same arrogance that leads to eight PL clubs announcing that they don't need any evidence because they know City have been breaking the rules all the time and so due process isn't necessary and appeals are a waste of time. Staggering. But City will show that they can and will be held to account and they will find it very painful.
Their hubris is understandable. They will always have a fall guy.first Platini now C..
Old habits die hard and they feel entitled to continue to the point where the organisation they control is actually dispensable.
As individuals they have felt protected and invincible.
Collectively they are a group of megalomaniacs so they are used to not learning but feeling everything they do is correct. Eventually this catches up with them personally which I hope is the way forward for City.

I agree. Ceferin is a lawyer, why would he be prepared to basically bankrupt Uefa on his watch?
That's the point. He's desperately trying to avoid that very thing happening. UEFA is two organisations effectively. It's a bureaucracy, which organises competitions and supposedly enforces the rules and regulations that it's enacted itself. And it's also a member driven organisation, with a cabal of self-serving clubs at the centre who seem to be able to direct and control the enactment and enforcement of those rules and regulations and the structure and format of the competitions. Ceferin has little effective control but he wants to steer the least damaging course. That's not an option anymore though. It's all-out war now.

That's why Soriano said what he said, about not having any beef with UEFA. He was making it clear that our battle wasn't with the bureaucratic bit but with some of the member clubs.

Ceferin says he has never seen the case against us. I don't believe that, but he has made a show of the IC/AC being independent. Even if the case were weak, i don't think he would interfere before hand. Maybe he even wanted it to fail; there is an internal war at UEFA and he is holding the ring.

Uefa have recently forwarded CAS everything from the Der Spiegel articles.

They have NOTHING first hand, it's truly unbelievable.

Staggering.
I sincerely hope that your intel is correct on this one mate, we all guessed this would be the case, but if it’s actually true then fuck me, what a bunch of cûnts.
