A lot can change in 25 years but the feeling of loss of prestige and certainly the loss of serious revenue never changes over time so it should now be asked why clubs, especially Everton, and others who were banned from Europe for five seasons, did not launch compensation claims against Liverpool following the behaviour of their supporters at Heysel.

I think HMG left those banned clubs in no doubt that they wouldn't get government support.

I will give you a clue, someone approached the 9 clubs, all but one club agreed to write the letter. The ninth club refused. That club is owned by a Saudi bigwig and they just happen to be bezzy mates with our owners. What amazes me is that who ever approached sheff utd clearly did not have a clue as to who the owner was.
