Well I looked through the last 3 or 4 pages (they have twice the number of posts per page as we do) and I'm never getting that time back am I? It's just the usual idiots spouting the same old nonsense, they're in total denial about everything. Some went into a sidebar of discussing how the internet and social media have made people bitter and twisted and just don't get the irony of their thread. Apparently they think that if the CL gets cancelled this season they'll be awarded a new trophy as the holders 'as it's in UEFA's rules'.

@Prestwich_Blue seems to have really gotten under their skin though, so kudos PB.

I will give you a clue, someone approached the 9 clubs, all but one club agreed to write the letter. The ninth club refused. That club is owned by a Saudi bigwig and they just happen to be bezzy mates with our owners. What amazes me is that who ever approached sheff utd clearly did not have a clue as to who the owner was.

Does anyone know if the FA have charged the gang of 8 for bringing the game into disrepute?, if this was any other sport the gang of 8 would be thrown out, firstly for creating a gang with the aim to gain advantage, and secondly attempting to gain influence on a governing body, also nobody has denied it?

I follow Alistair Campbell on twitter. He's a really decent bloke. Promotes Mental Health for men having lived with a condition of his own. He's a passionate Burnley fan but only ever likes to promote his club, I've never seen him have a go at other clubs or be involved with the owners of Burnley; just has a season ticket and goes to all the games.

I get why you may not like him given his history in politics but he has nothing to do with this.

Perhaps they were consulted and said no like SU so the "petition" has more "no" than "yes" signatures.

All is perhaps on hold until we know for certain the identity of its origin, content and even existence.
