I'm even funnier in person too - which I'll grant is no mean feat.

I'm sure @squirtyflower @Prestwich_Blue @Ric @Bill @Rammy Blue @Rascal @SWP's back @worsleyweb @Tim of the Oak will all be happy to confirm the above.

You must be funny as that is a tough crowd to please. Besides being called a tiresome troll by @Prestwich_Blue and thread banned by @squirtyflower not sure I have ever managed to get a laugh from either of them. @Tim of the Oak we discuss german biographies

KS55 is David White? Was my hero as a kid. Reason why 7 is my favourite number. Criminal he only got 1 England cap.

Felt like a family member being picked for England when he got called up. Missed that sitter v Spain, was gutted when he ended up going Leeds.

Pity we’re not having our annual Southampton meet up next week.

Indeed mate, I was thinking that as I wrote that message. Hope you and your good lady are well. The way things are going, we might be sat outside that pub eating ice creams in the middle of August still completing the season.

We’re absolutely fine, hope you are too?
Retirement plans on hold, Monaco Grand Prix cancelled, tour of Europe delayed, house sale fallen through, stock market crashed but at least we’re still alive and working our way through all the movies and TV series we’ve not had chance to watch.
I hope we do get a chance to have the beer, with the sunshine.

I’m more right wing than you and I don’t read the Guardian so wind your neck back in whoever the fuck you are.

For all intents and purposes nothing has changed. We still pay in the same amount. We still receive the same things. We still trade as before. We are still governed by EU Law.

Neither Boris nor the EU are going to be be pushing anything right now or for a good 12-24 months and thus, for all intents and purposes, we will not be “leaving” any time soon. And this was from a conference call with (famously socialist and Guardianista) JP Morgan this afternoon when one of the fund managers raised the question and asked how it was likely to play out.
I agree the transition period may well be extended, but plenty has changed.
We have no Commissioner, no MEPS, No seat on the council of ministers, no say in EU legislation, no standing in shaping the future of the EU, no participation in certain EU projects.
The status of the negotiations is the creation of a treaty between EU and UK.
PS no need to be so rude, but that's standard for Brexit, I suppose. You could just accept that I have a different view to you.

I was pro Brexit at heart, David.

Manchester City’s appeal against their two-year ban from Champions League football could be conducted via conference call in May or June

In a conference call this week, Ferran Soriano told Manchester City staff he sees no reason why their CAS appeal could not be conducted remotely ahead of any return to action on the field.

Manchester City are open to a conference call and remain keen to resolve the matter as quickly as possible, although their appeal to the CAS was not among the list of 18 cases scheduled to be heard between April 23 and June 26. [
@SamLee
I find this somewhat worrying. We have engaged a top QC. One of the advantages that gives us is that such lawyers have tremendous presence. Their personality can turn defeat into victory. Will we lose that edge in a video hearing?

Nothing has changed other than we have lost our say and handed over billions spent billions mitigating the consequences of leaving lost our freedom of movement and promised to eventually sort everything out
