bbc :
A further 429 people have died with coronavirus in hospitals in England, latest figures show.
NHS England said that 348 of these deaths were reported over the weekend, while the others took place at earlier dates.
Unfortunately, there will a big spike tomorrow with care home numbers from the ONS. Most likely going to be much worse in the following fortnight.Promising figures.

No, the ONS figures that include care home deaths are produced weekly every Tuesday, tomorrow's will be for the week ending 10th April.Ah. So as of tomorrow they're going to start including care home figures? That's going to be very confusing if so.
My niece who works at Kings has not been tested. She is a pharmacist who has to go on the wards at times although thankfully this has been reduced. You have to be a front line NHS worker, emergency worker/key worker to get a test.

No they’ve been included for weeks. The ONS only updates once a week on a Tuesday though. Come on Ste, you’re on this thread as much as I am.Ah. So as of tomorrow they're going to start including care home figures? That's going to be very confusing if so.
But even accounting for the inevitable spike tomorrow those numbers are lower than those announced on previous Monday's aren't they? Come on, give us something positive to hang on to!

where are they included? official figures are still only hospitalisations.
To some degree. The Rn (R0 over time) is still far to close to one for my liking. There is a continuous spread that is still happening and that this level could be much lower.![]()
Clear now that the 8th was peak mortality therefore peak infection was at lockdown as expected. If nothing else it shows the lockdown worked.
It comes out fastest on the twitter feed after the press release. Not on the website yet.
All deaths. No, the ONS figures that include care home deaths are produced weekly every Tuesday, tomorrow's will be for the week ending 10th April.
Yes but if you scroll to the tab on the spreadsheet marked "covid19-place of occurrence" they're broken down into where the covid deaths occurred - hospital, care home etc.All deaths.
