I agree about the possible consequences of him opening up internally too soon. It could become rife throughout the states.Trump’s presidency was always a threat to world peace but I’m becoming extremely scared that all my fears are going to come to fruition through coronavirus. They are going to not bother locking down because of him and become absolutely riven with the virus. Then Trump is going to throw his weight around to force other countries to keep acccepting their citizens on aeroplanes. That’s going to keep reinfecting the rest of the world who are going to hate the USA even more. That could even lead to war and god knows what else.
It always felt like you couldn’t have a moron like that in charge of the biggest superpower without massive ramifications and that might just be the big one: hundreds of millions of deaths around the world from this virus and its knock on effects.

It is one thing for some nutters to want the lock down lifted. Its a big jump for lots of people to want to get on to flights etc.
I dont see air travel picking up for at least 12 months, irrespective of what Trump does. And I think the cruise ship industry might be terminally bust. People will be too scared to do it.

Every single day the news looks a tiny bit bleaker. I’m a naturalist and an angler and if you overpopulate a lake with a particular species in the end Mother Nature introduces a disease to kill off the weak. Sometimes it kills off the entire stock.
I hope I’m wrong, mate, and we get a vaccine. It’s scary stuff, and going back on point, more so given the number of populist, irresponsible world leaders and the lack of trust/communication between them.
Trying to be optimistic, when this is all over maybe the world will have learned the value of globalisation.
